I stayed at this hotel recently and was very pleased. However, a few points to note, the car park was very hard to find......I'd suggest calling hotel in advance for directions or you could drive up to front of hotel and ask them but you needed a code to enter car park so you need to go to hotel first...

This was a nice hotel to stay in, great location by the sea. Nothing overly special about it, A-typical really. While reception was small & receptionist was pleasant i thought a more professional attire would have been suitable. Nice bar & dinning area.

Lovely room, friendly staff, amazing view from the front and location. Great pier walk and nice park nearby. It would be amazing on a sunny day. Good selection of food for breakfast and lovely coffee and tea but the cooked breakfast was stone cold.

Myself and the other half stayed for one night on an impromtu visit from Belfast! The hotel was a short 5/10 minute walk from the DART/train station. We arrived around 5.30pm and check-in was very fast and efficient, the bar off the reception already seemed very lively! The room itself described by the hotel as "cosy" was definitely so, probably...

It's 12:30am...the thump of the bass from the music downstairs vibrates through the room ( just as well the appointments and view across the pier are good...because there's no chance of sleep!) Reception tells me the music will stop at 1am...but that's little comfort when you have to rise at 7am. Bad location driven choice on my part - if...

We were pleasantly surprised with this gem of a hotel located right on the water south of Dublin. It is housed in several beautiful old townhomes and is being beautifully renovated. The woodwork and décor are lovely. Our room was tastefully decorated with a modern bath and nice amenities. We were sorry we came in too late to eat in...

Stayed at the Haddington hotel, stunning and beautiful location, rooms breakfast, everything was lovely. We had to leave the hotel really early for our flight from Dublin, the hotel catered for that too, we had a lovely continental breakfast before leaving. The bedrooms were very spacious and very clean and adequate towels in the bathroom, I would definitely stay there...

Great hotel in a very good location in Dun Laoghaire; everywhere is within short walking distance. Loved the decor and artwork in the rooms. Lively restaurant connected to the hotel. Good dinner, average breakfast.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Situated on the seafront in Dun Laoghaire, The Haddington has panoramic views of Dublin Bay. Originally four Georgian townhouses the hotel began its life as Haddington House, a finishing school for girls, before being converted into a hotel in the 1950s. We are continuing to develop the hotel property but in keeping with the unique heritage of the building. Our fifty en suite bedrooms have flat screen multi-channel TV's, free WiFi, Nespresso coffee machines, digital radios, hair dryers and filtered still and sparkling water. Our newer 'Classic' and 'Deluxe' rooms also come with an in-room safe, a mini fridge stocked with fresh milk, as well as a complimentary Irish Times. Most of the rooms in these categories also have spectacular sea views. The location is hard to beat with Dun Laoghaire DART station just a 5-minute walk away which provides regular rail connections to Dublin's city centre. The Aviva Stadium and the RDS can be reached after a 10-minute DART rail journey. If you're staying in the area, we have partnered up with a number of local businesses so guests can enjoy discounts on activities. The beautiful village of Dalkey is a short trip down the coast and is great for an afternoon's ramble. Directly opposite us is the historic east pier which was built especially for the arrival of Queen Victoria in 1900. Around the corner is the National Maritime Museum and the James Joyce Tower made famous by Ulysses is just a 5-minute walk away. If you fancy a dip, we'll supply you with towels for a visit to the well known swimming spot, the 40 foot (beware of the seals!). In the hotel lobby you can kick back with a coffee or sip cool cocktails in our new Lobby Bar or you might like to dine in Oliveto, our popular Italian restaurant with an amazing view (booking highly recommended). There's also two unique events spaces: The Library Bar and Oak Room, and a buzzy garden overlooking the sea complete with a Hut Bar. We look forward to welcoming you to The Haddington. ... more   less
