I have never experienced such amazing customer service! I had hoped to stay at this hotel tonight but due to a booking issue with the company that I work for (not the hotel's fault), I did not get to stay. When I arrived at the hotel, the staff were exceptional! As they were fully booked and could not offer me...

The Haddington is a very comfortable hotel with a great atmosphere, lovely staff and a super restaurant. The views over the harbour, Howth Head and out to sea are very relaxing and the hotel makes a great out of town base for sight seeing in Dublin. It is within easy walking distance to the station and trains are frequent. There...

This hotel was comfortable great value , the rooms were clean and well equipped. All the staff couldnt have been more welcoming. However the real bonus was the food, we just had a bar meal , the pizza was great and the chips were perfection, ( salted Rosemary fries) to give them their full name , and my guess would...

The communal spaces are great - well decorated and clean, but the room wasn't good. There was a really heavy leak coming from the ceiling, dripping through the light fitting. We asked to move to another room and the staff obliged although weren't apologetic. Unfortunately the sheets in this room were clean but stained, which was offputting. There was also...

A friend and I stayed at this lovely hotel for four nights in August while we attended the Irish ukulele festival. We had a wonderful time, the staff, who were very busy with the hotel being completely full and.a wedding and ukulele event going on over the weekend, couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The room was immaculate and...

After cycling 200 mikes down the coast from cork to Dublin I've never been more relieved to see my hotel in my life! & even more fortunate that it was as beautiful as it was! Gorgeous space, amazing views & we were even lucky enough to get enough sunshine to sit in the garden! Highly recommend!

Went here for lunch with wife & two friends. They liked it for the view of the water. We ordered the anti pasta board for 4 looking for a light lunch. It was plentiful with a good variety of meats, cheeses, olives, etc. Fresh and tasty. Our server, Wilf, was helpful and friendly. We hope to return on our next...

Once we'd actually found the hotel, we loved its sea front location. The room was ok, a little dated with a feint smell of cigarettes but was clean and had decent facilities. When we stayed there was a ukulele jam in front of the hotel which made for a great atmosphere, but early nighters may have suffered a bit of...

We stayed at the Kingston while we were at a wedding in Dublin, it was a lovely hotel, very clean and near the town if you cut through the grounds of Royal Marine Hotel . The food was really good and will stay here again. I would recommend booking a sea view as this made a big difference.

Well what can I say about this gem of a hotel. I'm 8yrs travelling to Dublin to see specialists. Upon booking I emailed the hotel with 1 or 2 requests to which I got a reply straight back saying it wouldn't be a problem and indeed it wasn't... From the moment we checked in up until we checked out....there was...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Haddington is an elegant 50 bedroom three star hotel with incredible views over Dun Laoghaire bay. Originally four Georgian townhouses the hotel began its life as Haddington House, a finishing school for girls, before being converted into a hotel in the 1950s. We have rebranded the hotel under The Haddington name and are in the process of upgrading the bedrooms and other areas within the building. Our aim is to bring you the perfect destination from which to enjoy the best of what this beautiful part of Dublin has to offer – a boutique hotel by the sea allowing diners, business travelers, tourists and culture seekers to all happily interact and have a memorable time. Our hotel has fifty bedrooms and all rooms come with en suite facilities, digital TV, free WIFI, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Our newer 'classic' and 'deluxe' rooms also come with an in-room safe, a mini fridge stocked with fresh milk, filtered still & sparkling waters as well as a complimentary Irish Times. Most of the rooms in these categories also have spectacular sea views. Our main bar and restaurant is called Oliveto (which is very popular so booking in advance is well advised) and we also have a separate Library Bar for private parties & gatherings as well as a larger Oak Room. Guests can use our lobby bar to relax, read and enjoy afternoon tea or evening drinks. Dun Laoghaire DART station is just a 5-minute walk away and provides regular rail connections to Dublin's city centre and the 3 Arena in just 20 minutes. The Aviva Stadium and the RDS can be reached after a 10-minute DART rail journey as can the beautiful village of Dalkey going in the opposite direction. On a local level, we are directly opposite the east pier (great for a walk) and close to Sandycove beach (swim all year!!), James Joyce Tower, Maritime Museum and a dozen other local attractions. We hope you'll get a chance to stay with The Haddington. ... more   less
