If you are looking for that wonderful B&B this is it! A charming immaculate house in a quiet neighborhood. The best part was Kathleen, she was so welcoming and gracious. She made us feel like family, and accommodated any need. Our days in Galway were wonderful, and many thanks to Kathleen for helping us navigate our time. Highly recommend Abhog,... More

The B&B was spotless, with pleasant rooms that had all the necessary facilities. Its location is approximately an easy 10 minute walk to the Galway city center and a 2 minute walk to a supermarket. The neighbourhood is very safe and nice. The real gem of the B&B is Katherine, whose hospitality, patience, and attention are remarkable. Always willing to... More

We spent 2 nights in Galway with Kathleen, 3 rooms. Kathleen the most wonderful hostess. Rooms upstairs super clean and comfortable and a great value. Located in a quiet neighborhood about a 10 minute walk from center Galway. Super breakfast. Can say nothing but good things about Kathleen's attentiveness and she was a treasure trove of good info and advice... More

Kathleen welcomed us like we were family. We planned on staying one night but had such a great time in Galway, we stayed an extra day. The Abhog is nestled in a quite neighborhood and a little hard to find but Kathleen gave us spot directions. Abhog is a short and safe walk to center city. The breakfast was delicious... More

A spotlessly clean place, wonderful breakfast and best of all one of the best hosts. Kathleen makes everyone feel welcome and makes sure they are comfortable and taken care off. Galway has tons of B&B's, but if you are looking for value for money, a clean, comfortable, quiet place, a short walk away from the heart of the city, and... More

Thomas+Christine We rember wonderful days at Galway at Kathleen's B&B and we rember her as a perfect host! It began with a warm welcome in her clean and stylishly furnished home. I have just returned from a visit to Galway City and the MOST wonderful stay in Abhog B&B..The house itself was clean, inviting, comfortable and peaceful (thanks to Kathleens great suggestion to avoid turning on the bathroom fan after 10pm for the sake of other guests-this was something I really appreciated having stayed places where this is not the case).... Kathleen was an excellent hostess. It began with her personalized taxi service from the bus station to her home, followed by a ride to Salthill. Kathleen made phone calls on our behalf as well as suggestions about experiencing Galway. Kathleen asked us when we wanted breakfast and what special considerations we needed. The bedroom and home were immaculate, including fresh... More

We selected this B & B from the Tourist Board website for our first visit to Galway and were not disappointed. The en - suite bedroom was spotlessly clean, comfortable and well appointed and breakfast was taken in the lounge-diner. Breakfast was either continental style with choice of cereals and toast or a pre ordered cooked breakfast. The property, in... More
