Very close to the town centre, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the room was lovely. The place was very quiet, and the breakfast was delicious, we felt welcome and important when we were there, and would have no hesitation in staying here again when we return to Galway, a beautiful town.

Stayed here on business last week. Found the room to be very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very poor with the food cold on both mornings. What was annoying was the fact that the bar and restaurant was closed due to renovation and this was not told to us at the time of booking. At a rate of €89 per...

Galway was a wonderful city to explore, vibrant with with arts: music, dance, color, architecture, and food spilling over onto the streets everywhere you walked. Love, love, love Galway. This hotel has a number of things which I can recommend about it, the first is it location and easy access to all the above listed. We were able to walk...

Stayed for 2 nights as part of a trip visiting family. The hotel is in dire need of refurbishment. The bathroom in the room was particularly bad, with a very yellowing bath and hard to control shower. The pillows were like paving slabs and the bedding bobbly. The room was too hot (even without heating on). The windows barely opened...

Galway is an expensive city in Ireland. All the hen parties and stag parties go there. In that respect one can't really fault the hotels for charging what they can get away with. However, compared to other hotels in Europe, you'll likely be disappointed in the plain Jane quality of the room. Ours was fine enough but had some minor...

I made only a flying one night visit on business. The hotel is in the docks and easy to find, though no spectacular views. The hotel car park was full, but there is a public car park next door with plenty of room – both charge €8 overnight. Parking has to be paid at the machine and it is cash...

Galway is one of my favorite Irish cities. It's over-the-top with charm, energy, trad music and gorgeous surrounding areas to explore. When touring Ireland I always spend several days there. The Harbour Hotel is a perfect "base": it provides a central location with lovely rooms, welcoming service and excellent breakfasts.

I spent one night in the Harbour Hotel and was very happy with my stay. The breakfast could well be the best I've had. It was after I had checked out that the fantastic level of customer service became apparent. Through my own fault, my car's battery had gone flat and I was stranded in the car park of the...
