Had a really nice stay this weekend. The staff were friendly and willing to help with your trip any way you can. There is a luggage room to store your things in if you arrive before check in. Such a nice and short walk down to where many pubs and shops are. Great common area. There is a pool table,...

We booked this hostel last minute as a result of a change in plans and we did not regret our decision! The staff were so nice and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms were tidy, but the beds were quite firm. The location is perfect for exploring Galway around Shop Street and Quay Street which are the main attractions within...

Stayed for a total of 5 nights and Kinlay exceeded expectations! Clean rooms, hot showers, nice breakfast. Loved that the sink was outside the bathroom so more than one person could get ready at a time in the morning. The kitchen was cute and the dining area spacious. Reception was friendly and helpful. Cant wait to come back to Galway

We had booked a double bed ensuite bedroom at Kinlay and stayed there last week. We had some troubles with the shower and had no hot water. The managers were really helpful though and resolved the situation very smoothly. They were very attentive, offered us a fair refund and showed us a private bathroom we could use. Very nice and...

Nice free breakfast of toast and cereal and porridge. We didn't even have to do our own dishes at breakfast so that was a nice surprise. The room was tight with 6 of us, which was okay because we all knew each other, but might be awkward to move around and coordinate with strangers. There was a nice shower, toilet,...

33 of us visited Galway and stayed at the Kinlay Hostel for 3 nights. Great central location for the sights of the town. Clean and tidy with friendly staff. Ideal base for groups. The rooms consist of bunk beds and have a shower / wet room. Take a padlock with you as rooms have lockable cages for valuables.

Great location, staff was personable. But they seem to cater to groups. The groups all have social connection, so a solo traveler is very much alone, more so than any other hostel where I've stayed. Meeting new people is for me, an integral part of the hostel experience.

My one night stay was very nice, wish they'd had the availability through my entire time in Galway. Bed fell on the hostel side of comfortable and they don't assign beds so you aren't stuck with an upper bunk when a lower one is available. Ironically, despite the hostel being booked for the weekend, the night I was there hit...

I stayed here thankfully it was just overnight as I got no sleep. I was in a dorm with friends so that wasn't the issue. I slept in the bottom bunk, my friend above me. Every time she moved the bed squeeked loudly, unfortunately for me she moved a lot. You can have the best facities in the world; but...

Stayed in double bed private room (201) perfect size for myself and my friend. Bathroom was clean, shower was ok - quite hard to switch on. On Saturday, we left to go for lunch and walk to Salthill. Arrived back to the room to find our door had been left open by the staff - we knew this because pizza...
