This is a B&B in the Salthill section of Galway. It is in a 1920's stone house. The owner Ita Johnstone is all the chef that provides the breakfests and the evening meal. We stayed in room 1 and I feel that it is the best room in the house. We had a wonderful breakfest and she pointed out some...

Many thanks for your review and delighted you enjoyed your stay. We should point out that Room 2 at the front of the house is a mirror image of Room 1 and all the other rooms, while some may not be as large, we like to think are kept to the same high standard. Ita and Tony

We loved staying at St. Jude's in mid March 2013. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our party of 4. Breakfast was great. We had a day trip planned to the Aran Islands but the wind was reaching 60 mph and the temp was 0 c so we decided to enjoy the day around Galway. St. Jude's...

We had a very nice family room with plenty of space. Breakfast was very good with lots of options. We were able to order just what we wanted to eat. They were also accommodating in allowing us to add an extra person for breakfast. We were visiting our daughter who was at NUI Galway and she had breakfast with us...

Thank you for your positive comments and we certainly look forward to welcoming you back to St Judes. We will have to look at ways we can be more visible to our guests as either Ita, Sinead or myself are on the premises all the time and really keen to be helpful and available for any advice or assistance that...

St. Jude's is definitely a beautiful victorian styled home, from the moment you enter the premises, you can see that it is an impressive house. It has all the amenities you would expect from a B&B, though it may not always be obvious. The one thing missing was that sense of warmth (both literally and metaphorically!) and welcome that usually...

Thank you for your detailed review. You will be glad to know that we have recently enhanced our Wifi signal so it now reaches all areas of the house. St Judes is our family home and we are onsite all the time. We want to be as available, helpful and responsive to all our guests while, at the same time,...

We opted to stay in this B and B because of what we had read. We were very disappointed but I shall begin with the positives. Breakfast was very good, proximity to main shopping areas a nice walk away. The negatives, the towels were gray and threadbare, the room ordinary, certainly not four star, the tv and reception very poor....

My husband and I stayed at St Jude's in Galway in mid September. We found it to be in a great, quiet location that was an easy walk to either the downtown or the Salthill areas. We arrived mid afternoon exhausted from our travel and was given a lovely double en-suite on the first floor that looked out to a...

We enjoyed our stay at St. Judes very much. When arriving we were welcomed with tea and biscuits in the nicely decorated living room. Our room was especially nice, because of the interiour design and the wonderful view to the flowerbed with roses. Everything was very clean. The owners were helpful and kind. They recommended nice local restaurants. St. Judes...

St Jude's is a beautiful Victorian home boasting a wealth of original features. Our room was massive and the bathroom was modern and chic. We are early risers and as breakfast did not start till 8:30 we enquired about tea making. A tray with mugs, tea, kettle and milk was delivered to our room. After a brisk walk along the...
