Stayed here for two nights late Jan. ,had a single room with a small double bed and ensuite. The good Great location about 100 meters from the train/bus station on Eyre Square. Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Room was warm , clean , tea and coffee facilities provided and usual toiletries. Reasonable...

Stayed here for one night at the end of December 2014. Found the staff to be really friendly and welcoming and the location is excellent. The room is what I would expect for a 3* hotel, clean, comfortable and bright. There is a little noise from traffic, but that is to be expected if you want a location in the...

Stayed here in September for one night and overall it is a poor hotel the decor is so old fashioned and the bedrooms and hallways smell damp, the double bed is two singles pushed together which is uncomfortable, no hangers, shower is slippy no mats, tap water doesn't taste nice boiled for coffee and there is no alternative offered, our...

That's a very nice place to go, locals watching NFL, good music, beautiful bar... But the hotel part is not so good. Rooms are ok, spacious enough and clean, a little noisy because of the street but it wasn't a big problem, coffee/tea, iron, supposed to be Wifi but the signal is really poor in the rooms, but i could...

Given its location, and room 108 above the bar, I was very pleasantly surprised at how quiet the place was. Room & bathroom were in very good condition, but if you're looking for a firm - or newer - matress, you might try another room ot inn.

Six of us stayed for 3 nights at Garvey's Inn. We literally stepped off of the train and walked 3 minutes to the Inn. It's a short walk to EVERYTHING including the much busier (and noisier) Latin Quarter. The pub itself is worth going to Galway for! Fun, fun, fun! There are locals watching sports, folks having a pint and...

I just used the restaurant, the location near the bus station is perfect between 2 buses and very close to city centre. My tip: avoid the pizzas!! Taste like frozen pizza, you'll find the same at tesco for 3 euro! So don't bother. The cheesecake was ok, no unforgettable taste though. If you don't eat, the place is perfect for...

We stayed for a night. The room was comfortable and cozy. A little noisy in the morning but other than that it was OK. We had a problem with the shower but staff were very eager to help and they let us use the shower next door and provided a complementary breakfast for the inconvenience. The location is just around...

So if you looking for a plush, fancy hotel room, Garvey's is not the place for you but if your looking for clean, basic room, with a great location and possible the best staff I have ever met, Garvey's is the best. I had my Husband's surprise 40th in galway last weekend, and the staff went over and beyond for...

Garveys is meant to be a hotel, yet the hotel door was locked and I had to walk through the entire bar to find reception. As soon as I checked in I was told that breakfast was extra, this is not evident on any booking form. The website said the hotel was recently refurbished, completely untrue. Old uncomfortable beds, very...
