First night in Galway we were very hungry and went in, we orderd fish and chips and a burger. The portions are very small and the price is too high for what you get, the food is bland. Service was ok. I wouldnt come back here.

Ok we were tourists to Galway too - but here caters for those coming from abroad tracing their routes. The kind that 4 of them gather around 1 drink and listen to the fiddle player in the corner. We are here and both decided on seafood chowder which was beyond bland. My husband went for chicken curry which was a...

This is not somewhere to stay if you want peace and quiet. The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable, but not luxurious, with an endearing quality to them. The local festival meant that the bars were full every evening with visitors, locals and musicians. The revelry was fun to enjoy and we accepted the good natured celebration would go on...

Dear Rosalind H, Many thanks for your most informative feedback on your stay with us here in Galway. I do hope your insight-fullness serves to inform others that we are indeed a City Centre establishment, located directly in the Latin Quarter, which runs late at night, and starts again very early in the morning. Some guests think we are a...

Hi Morgan, Sorry your experience was not as expected. I am somewhat bewildered though. You say that the first band hadn't finished at 6:30pm. Our Live Music doesn't start until at least 7:30pm, so maybe you are confusing us with some other establishment......?? Yours Somewhat perplexed, knarF

Myself and my sister's were drawn into the bar due to the fantastic sound of the live band. The band was amazing and the bar was packed. I was blown away with the speed and efficiency of the Barmen - they were able to take multiple orders from several customers meaning there were never excessive periods of waiting to be...

Hi Debbie L, Thank you for your kind feedback. We have a super selection of Talented Musicians, and they do work very hard to entertain one & all. Please do pop back in, when you're in Galway next. Sincerely, Frank.

We were in Galway for the day and decided to stop here for lunch and a drink. We got a seat outside which was lovely for people watching and enjoying the good weather, we had a pleasant afternoon but the food was atrocious. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, steak sandwich, bacon cheese fries and onion rings. We waited for about...

Hi clareyfairy7, Thank you for takin ght time to pass on your feedback. I am disappointed that it was not as you expected. Rather than go into the menu and its preparation here on Tripadvisor, instead I will take up all points with the Chef, in our endeavor to ensure a first class product in the future. Many Thanks, Frank.

Stayed in the hotel recently for a stag weekend. From the beginning the service was excellent, when booking Julia was very quick to respond to emails and very helpful with any queries. On arrival it only took about 5 mins to book in 20 lads, all paperwork was ready and waiting for us, very efficient. The bar staff, doormen, receptionists...

The hotel is located above a bar. The noise level is loud and not just from the bar. The walls, windows are thin. Pretty sure the guy in the room next to us was suffering from TB. The hotel is not well staffed. One bright spot: Julie at the front desk was actually there and very helpful. Most of the...
