stayed here at the end of race week. Lovely hotel. Staff very nice. Had lunch in the Brasserie which was delicious. Would recommend afternoon tea in the lobby while listening to the piano playing old favourites - we opted for prosecco which was lovely too! My only criticism would be the breakfast. Selection is not great and would expect a...

We had booked 2 superior rooms in April. We were given 2 rooms over looking the bus terminal. The only ventilation was the window that you could not see out of. The sewer gas was also an added +. I would not rate this hotel a 1 star let alone a 4. There may be nicer rooms in the hotel,...

Stayed overnight on 13th June' 14. The Victorian style hotel is centrally located on Eyre Square in Galway beside train & bus stations. Parking is convenient nearby at the rear of the hotel. On arrival we were delighted to be upgraded to a beautiful, opulent and very spacious suite indeed [Room 530]; located at the front of the hotel directly...

Overall, a good one night stay stay. Extremely well trained, friendly and attentive staff. Excellent breakfast in both quality and quantity terms. Comfortable bed, adequate bathroom. Relaxed ambiance and good service in bar. Central location. In view of the exceptionally warm weather, lighter bedding would have been appreciated. In the absence of this and a/c, which to be fair, is...

I recently stayed at the Meyrick with 32 other people in my group. It is my first choice for a hotel each time I am in Galway. The day before we arrived in Galway one of the women hurt her ankle. The staff at the Meyrick called a doctor and made an appointment for her and called a cab to...

This room is designed as a 2 person twin room. Room has cracks in wall; dirty carpet around the walls; walls are badly scuffed up as is the furniture and the window faces a center of walls allowing no air circulation and tons of pigeons on the ledge with bird droppings. Enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Meyrick. Great location in the heart of the city close to everything. The room was nicely appointed with a king size bed (two singles put together) and decent though small bathroom. The hotel is old, tired, loud, scuffed up and overpriced. We stayed 2 nights at Meyrick after staying at Park House up the street for two nights.
