We stayed here while at the Bike festival in June on recommendation of another guest house owner. Pauline made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and let us park our motorbike around the back of her premises for extra safety. The property is close to the town centre but far enough out not to be noisy. The... More

This B&B is perfect for a visit to Killarney, its not too far from the town centre. The host is very pleasant, welcoming and helpful. She'll make sure your stay meets your expectations. Breakfast is great and you have lots of choice. The rooms are cosy and clean and have everything you'd need. All in all, great stay and would... More

Too busy there. Hard to find somebody to help us with directions or get information. Nobody ever around!! Don't take major credit cards, only cash!! Breakfast was good. Room very small but clean! It was very ideal location for downtown Killarney and we had a great time downtown! Didn't find it as personable as other bed and breakfasts we stayed... More

On a busy street, wi-fi was only available in certain parts of the room, room door was extremely hard to close, one of the shower door panels was completely missing. Worst part was that we left a light on when we went to dinner and it was off when we returned so I believe the hostess had been in our... More

Parafield House was part of the lodging planned during our Cycling Safari trip in County Kerry, Ireland. The accommodations were clean and basic. The location was a 10 minute walk to the city center. The owner was lovely. Actually, our brief visits with her reminded me of visits with distant relatives because she was so nice and seemed like a... More

Pauline was a fantastic host, we booked super last minute via an online travel agent and stayed in quieter part of March just before Easter Holidays. She was having the rooms re-fitted with new carpets and fresh paint. She ensure we were happy with the room and always asked politely if they could access the room to change the carpet... More

A pleasant B&B located in Killarney town. Comfortable room, substantial Irish breakfast and a most congenial host in Pauline, what more can you ask for. The Wi-Fi worked well and the Ring of Kerry and many other sights are all easily accessible. There is no control over the weather which can be problematic, with sea mist often not clearing in... Very good stay at Parkfield House. Super hot shower after long night and day of travel from US and then a week later after biking the Iveragh & Dingle peninsulas! Pauline was very helpful with tips on this & that, including finding us a doctor on a Saturday morning.

Pauline (I glean the name from other comments as she never introduced herself) immediately insisted on cash in hand, upfront (and before we'd even parked) which meant us crossing over a very busy road, on foot, to withdraw €100 from a supermarket ATM. This after travelling for hours and feeling exhausted. When asked for a receipt, she reluctantly handwrote one!... More

Excellent b&b. Service was great and Pauline was very helpful and accommodating. She couldn't do enough to ensure that our visit was most enjoyable. She spoke to everyone, even took time to converse with our teenagers, excellent hostess.
