It was great stay. I was traveling with my coworkers and all of them were pretty glad of them rooms. Rooms was clean and tidy, beds double and confi. Staff really friendly and polite, special thanks to Aiste of welcoming and hosting us. Wifi reaches up to first floor, so it's available just not everywhere. So if you looking room...

This was a horrible experience, made me ashamed to think visitors to Ireland might stay here....they grabbed my money before I saw the freezing cold room, broken window glass, no hot water, botched electrics, dodgy room heater, light like an outside garage light. Went down for breakfast and a foreign lady with no English kept shouting 9 at me, no...

We stayed in this B+B last August and really enjoyed our stay although we were awoken during the night by people trashing the ''Hostel' room beside our B+B room. They did not stop until they had broken the bunk beds. We felt sorry for the owners and when we were visiting Kerry this Autumn we had no hesitation in booking...

We have been very disappointed with this hostel: very unprofessional "welcome" (we were even wondering if we were in the right place), Rooms dirty (were the bed sheets even changed?), bathroom's bin nor emptied. The bathroom is in the bedroom, and there is no glass on the top window: you can thus enjoy both noises and smell from the bathroom....

We arrived a bit before check-in, but this was not an issue. Eileen is a kind, warm lady who is the epitome of Irish hospitality who made us feel welcome. Our room was tinier than I expected with basic necessities, but served our needs nicely. Perhaps the best thing about Finnegan's is the location. Steps away from the museum, and...

We visited here on Sunday night, and enjoyed our stay very much. Breakfast was included which was very tasty. Staff were excellent, especially the young waitress. This place is basic but it sells it self as a hostel, with did have a private room with en-suite. The bathroom was clean the bedding was clean and the bed supper comfy. The...

my parents stayed there for 1 night and both were very happy with the accommodation and food. They were attending a wedding and requested that they could book in earlier so as to change their clothes for the event. Eileen the owner was very helpful and made sure that the room was ready for their arrival. The double room en...

Please don't believe any of the good reviews of this hostel, facilities terrible and staff very rude. Ladders on bunk beds broken, no hot water. Issue even with the toilets flushing. Lack of wall sockets

Oh dear. I have just returned from a weekend in Tralee and stayed at Finnigans because it was booked by a family member. The location is ideal, really central to everywhere. Three of us stayed in a room with en-suite facilities. Basic I can do, it was a quick weekend break for a family event, this doesn't even nearly tick...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to Finnegan's Hostel, Restaurant and Mary Anne's Tea Rooms, Tralee, Co. Kerry. Built by the Denny family in 1826 from the stones of the old Tralee Town Castle. It was converted into a cute quaint hostel whilst making the most of its original features. We have a mixture of dorms and rooms with forty beds in total. All the private rooms are en-suite. We also have two big rooms with open fireplaces, perfect for those winter days! Our cellar restaurant serves fresh seafood and steak and offers great value for money. We are just five minutes walk from the train (Irish Rail) and bus (Bus Eireann) station and we are just off the Main Street of Tralee town so its perfect for visiting the sites, or heading out at night! Across the street from us is the amazing Tralee town park. We are only thirty minutes by car from Dingle, the Ring of Kerry and Killarney. The history of the famous Kerry landmark Mary Anne's Tea Rooms: Mary Anne Hickey and her husband Bartholomew came from a farm in Crinne outside Castleisland, Co. Kerry. She had ten children and fifty-four grandchildren of which I am one. She loved baking and entertaining friends & family at her home and these tearooms are dedicated to her memory.
