Stayed here on a Saturday night recently and it wasn't great. The staff were fine and location good, I didn't arrive with high expectations considering it is a hostel. I had two main issues, first issue I had was that 9pm was the latest you could check in, very inconvenient, even an extra hour would have helped a lot. Secondly...

Nice rooms all with codes at the doors. Close to the center with a kitchen and a place outside. I spend 2 great nights! The staff is friendly and the hostel is quiet. Good if you need some sleep after a big trip.

The hostel was clean and neat. The staff was very friendly and helped with everything around. The hostel is centrally located and had street parking available for our car. We booked in a dorm room which was still good and not noisy or anything.

MacGabhainns, managed by Fergus, the friendliest lad in Ireland was an awesome experience. The room was tidy, the bathroom was clean (we booked a room with a private bathroom), the mattresses were comfortable and the location was unbeatable. We booked for two nights but decided to stay one night more, in great part because of MacGabhainns great atmosphere. Pros: great atmosphere,...

What a fun hostel! Key code security at the front door and for each dorm. Laundry facilities available, and inexpensive. This is a hostel for meeting people and making friends! Tea and coffee available all day long (and biscuits, too). A kitchen available for making your own food, for those of us on a budget. It's a super short walk...

We had planned a fun night in Kilkenny away from work and study only to be greeted by rules, rules, rules. I know we had 9 of us staying and they had experienced some trouble in the previous weeks but talk about putting us on a downer after a 15min lecture and a 150E noise deposit (which had me on...

Great location, very close to all the attractions. It can get very noisy. The guys in the room next to us where loud at 2:30am. The toilets were clean as were the rooms. The staff were a bit confused when I asked for the heating in the room to be turned off as it was very hot. Also, though we...
