We stayed here on the Saturday of the May bank holiday weekend as we were attending a wedding in the Rivercourt Hotel. When we checked in everything was ok but then when I got to the room it was Tiny. I didn't mind this so much as all we wanted was a clean bed for the night and a shower... More

Given the wall decorations, the room seemed to have been recently converted from a kid's bedroom, and given the grubbiness of the room, the shabbiness of the furnishings, and the filth of the carpet, it seems to have been a rundown orphanage. The shower door was broken, which at least allowed a little water to be spread over the tiled... More

Booked a twin room. We checked in at 9pm and had to pay up front - big mistake. The room seemed cold but we left quickly as we had plans. When we returned at 1am the room was freezing and the radiator wasn't working. No extra blankets provided. Woke up to a still freezing room the following morning and tried... More

There was a problem with the booked room but staff were most accommodating and upgraded us to another establishment at no extra cost. She did everything she possibly could to accommodate us . very impressive customer service.

Were were traveling with 4 children and attending a wedding in the hotel next door. We were quiet and respectful when we came home at 1:30am however, no one else was! The place was full of Hens and Stags and they were running amok in the halls until 4:30 am. They were shouting in their rooms, having a party in... More

Wouldn't recommend this place. Very noisy. Room smelled. Bathroom clean but water not very warm. Would not stay here again. Door locked on arrival had to ring a mobile number to be let in ... By the restaurant next door. They were friendly . But so noisy just couldn't recommend .

Room at top of tall building; no lift. No welcome - you ring a phone number to be admitted, even though the person receiving you then turns out to work in the Thai restaurant on the ground floor. Window was stuck open, had to wait for it to be fixed. Bedside light not working, TV reception poor. No complimentary toiletries,... More

Never again, this is for persons between the age of 18 &....6. I probably should have known, the 'rooms' are situated over Yindees a Thai restaurant, when you pay for the room in advance, it's like paying for a meal, that's how it is. But what annoyed me was the rowdyism and total disrespect of the so called guests staying... More

McCourts Townhouse is a pretty good place to stay, quite cheap and excellent location. Although we had to call before someone opened the door this was worth staying a night here. Rooms are small but decent.
