Carriglea B&B was a convenient place to stay in Kilkenny, being easy walking distance to the castle, the city centre, the Dominican Black Abbey, and other sites. Our hostess, Josephine was helpful and provided us with information about the town. Our room was good size and the breakfast was very nice. The price was a good value and free parking...

Lovely historic B & B. The view from our room was so nice, we could see the horses out of our window and beautiful Kilkenny Lake out the other. Rooms are large and roomy. The owner is wonderful, you could sit and chit chat with her all day. Fantastic breakfast.

We have stayed here a number of times, in part because the city and area have so much to explore, but in larger part to enjoy the owners of this beautiful house. This bed and breakfast is ideally located right across from the castle and its grounds, making it easy to take evening strolls through the gardens and paths along...

Very friendly welcome. The room is a little bit old fashion style, but charming, big enough and very clean. The breakfast was very good, tasty, healthy with fresh fruits and also comprehensive. We received good recommendations for restaurants.

This is by far our favorite Bed and Breakfast. Our room was clean, spacious, beautifully decorated and welcoming. The breakfasts are incredible. Josephine is an amazing cook and makes you feel special. She and her husband Tony are delightful hosts and make us want to come back! We are sad to leave but look forward to coming back.

Stayed here for one night when visiting Kilkenny and we were content with the place. Location was ok, close to the castle, room was tidy and cosy and breakfast was also good. Owner Josephine was really friendly and made us feel welcome. What else do you need :)

We stayed at this beautiful B&B for 3 night in May 2016. Josephine was an exceptional hostess and served a wonderful breakfast to start your day. She is very lively and knowledgeable about the Irish ways and a great story teller. The location was great with a short walk to Kilkenny Castle and the downtown area. The Kilkenny Craft Center...

We stayed here one night with our two sons, both in their twenties. We were able to walk to the Castle and town easily, yet the area around the B&B was quiet. Breakfast was fantastic! Josephine and Tony were very friendly and welcoming. Our rooms were lovely, as was the dining room. We would definitely go back!

This B&B is within walking distance of all the main attractions in Kilkenney. Rooms were small but adequate, the breakfast was excellent but the main reason for loving this place was the hostess, Josephine. She chatted with us after breakfast for quite a while and entertained us with stories of her family and Irish life. She could not have been...
