Great place to stay and Kathrine is a fantastic host and a wealth of information of the area. She pointed us in the right direction to all the best pubs and restaurants. Her breakfast was large and the buffet table was full of large red raspberries, blackberries and fresh fruit and loads of other goodies. My wife is lactose and...

This was our 1st trip to Ireland. We arrived in Dublin at 5:30 AM with Kilkenny as our 1st destination. We were exhausted, one of us was sick, we were unfamiliar with everything, worried about driving on the right side of the road, etc. We called the B & B to ask if we could check-in early. Our hostess got...

Katherine is lovely and pays great attention to each guest and makes you feel like you are her only clients. The rooms are older but clean and spacious with nice private bathrooms. The backyard garden is beautiful and the cooked breakfast was great. Great location.

This B&B was our first stop in Ireland, and we were there for two nights over St. Patrick's Day. The location is great because it's only about a mile to downtown Kilkenny, so we were able to walk to and from town. The owner was very welcoming and was a great help giving us tips and advice about the city...

This place was great!! Kathryn knows her stuff and can help in anyway. Also, has a great sense of humor too. The house was spotless and breakfast was great. Easy to walk to town for the night or day. We walked to town that night and found our way back very easily.

Mena House is a wonderful place to stay, very close to the city center with very comfortable rooms. Katherine is an amazing hostess, she took time to make sure I knew where all the good spots were for music and food, and made sure to familiarize me with the city and even draw a little addition on to the map...

Kathryn...Is a wonderful host. She makes you feel comfortable and welcome. She has great advice on where to go/what to do. Our room is gorgeous and very clean. The decor is lovely. The B&B is approximately 1 mile from the castle.

I was attending a family wedding in the Newpark Hotel just across the road from Mena House and had booked a twin room. Katherine was very helpful in allocating 2 further rooms for my relatives who were travelling from England to attend the wedding. The check in was so relaxed, the rooms were very well appointed; lovely crisp linen, soft...

Stayed here for one night with my boyfriend. Wish I had have booked another night. The house is beautiful inside and out! We stayed in an upstairs room which was spotlessly clean. There are tea/coffee making facilities in the room along with a fantasies hairdryer. There was a sink in our room but the bathroom was across the corridor. I...

We loved Mena House and Katherine is an absolute delight. She is funny, helpful and knowledgeable. She starts by giving you a map of Kilkenny and although she has tons of guidebooks and information, you are better off to just ask her! Her house is comfortable, very clean, convenient to town and easy walking distance to local pubs. The breakfasts...
