Proprietor and hostess Breda offers a fine B & B experience just minutes outside Kilkenny City. She's gracious, vivacious and offers great insight on local attractions. Their rooms are quite large and clean. WIFI is readily accessible. It was well worth a repeat visit!!!

We stayed there for two nights and have absolutely no complaints. Breda the hostess is genuienly friendly and very helpful. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious enough (we stayed in some very small rooms during our visit to Ireland:)) and there was parking outside. The heating was on in the evening and in the morning, so the room...

Stayed here with my daughter & sister-in-law for just one night in September 2012. If we had known ahead of time what a clean, pleasant room it would be we would have stayed longer. Our hostess, Breda, was so helpful getting us to a nice pub with Irish music & directions to the castle, etc. and she makes a killer...

Breda was easily the warmest and most welcoming hostess we had in Ireland. She is vivacious, and eager to help in any way she can! Led us to a great Italian restaurant with some of the absolute best bruschetta I've ever had. Rooms were just as bright and welcoming as the hostess, comfy and clean. Breakfast was not quite as...

The room was pleasantly laid out and bright and parking was ample for any occasion........The breakfast is nice and I presume the produce came direct from local farms........The service was good even though it is a busy B&B and the hostess Breda is very sociable, friendly and helpful and helps with local transport and directions to the city.....She also is unobtrusive...

Considering we had paid good money and were only in Kilkenny for one night we expected a half decent B&B....the accommodation was fine but it was the owner who treated us like bold kids and insulted one of the group which was totally unacceptable. I would recommend this for anyone who does not want to have any fun or want...

All guests are expected to respect Avila as a family home, If your stay at Avila was not enjoyed I'm sure it was fact one your party brought back an unregistered guest & both slept the night in the guest sitting room which is totally not acceptable in our home.

I stayed here for five days as part of a business trip to Kilkenny. My employer organised the trip. I was not once offered a cooked breakfast instead cheap cereals and white toast. I regularly stay in B&Bs for work and it's been a long time since I've had such a bad experience.

The Avila Bed and Breakfast is located a short drive out of Kilkenny town centre. We were travelling in a group of 4 adults and 2 kids and found the rooms to be really spacious, clean and quiet. The whole place had a great family atmosphere. There was plenty of parking at the front of the house, lots of helpful...
