Scholars Townhouse is well located in Drogheda Town, with central amenities within easy reach. The hotel itself is comfortable, quiet, and friendly, with an Old World charm. The breakfast is to be commended too, setting one up well for the day ahead.

Just back from Scholar Townhouse, this hotel has an old world charm about it. We had afternoon tea, which was delicious, the sandwiches were yummy and the cakes were gorgeous . The atmosphere is so relaxing, and the staff so very nice and pleasant. We will be coming back for sure and looking forward to it. Thank You.

What has happened Scholars? Disappointing lunch today. The service was very slow,so by the time the food arrived we had no choice but to eat as we had very little time available for our visit. The salad was dreadful, minimal amounts of pancetta, too much Lettuce and very little cheese. A chicken sandwich was served on stale white bread and was...

Mo-Pat have to disagree with your review. Standards have not dropped at all. If you look through our other reviews you will see that our standards are higher than ever as we constantly strive to meet our customers needs. The statement in regards to the waitress not being available is a total fabrication as all tables were checked on the...

Myself and my partner stayed here last weekend. What a great place. Staff (Mark McG was a delight), went over and beyond to do what they could for us. The steak sandwich was top notch for dinner, and breakfast delivered to the room the next morning was also very good. Good atmosphere in the bar and an extensive choice of...

Great building, interesting history, appealing public areas... small, dark, depressing room. My husband and I were just passing through town and stayed only one night. Scholars served its purpose, but for the price we were very disappointed with the room (#115). It was a tiny inner room with windows that opened out to a air shaft for ventilation. The space...

Family run, great service, great Ambience (One of the most relaxing bars I have ever visited ) the restaurant I have visited with friends and colleagues even if I'm not staying. Whilst the rooms are small, they are very comfortable and clean I can't recommend highly enough Top quality Top experience...

The food was great and the beer was very reasonably priced ( a pint of Guinness for €6.50 ). The staff ( almost all Irish including...

Hotel is beautiful and so are the grounds but was not impressed with the size of the room, was expecting a bit more for the £107 we paid. Although great location as it is walking distance to the shops etc.
