We've stayed here a few times, and have had a perfect visit every time. Once we had a four poster bed, which was quite a novelty. The rooms are small, but clean and well heated. There are no duvets, but blankets and sheets instead. The bar is open till the early hours, and we have been accommodated with sandwiches at...

Went here for Sunday lunch today and what a super choice it was. There is a lovely ambience in the restaurant and it is decorated beautifully. Food was second to none. I had the goats cheese salad starter, my husband and Father in law both had the soup, served with lovely breads. We each opted for the salmon main, what...

Quaint hotel bursting with character. Friendly and professional staff, and an incredible seasonal dinner menu with the option of formal or casual dining. Has quite an interesting historical significance in the town as it was once an esteemed place of learning, and was well within walking distance to Droghesa town centre. 15 minute drive to the Battle of Boyne museum/site,...

As a past pupil of the Christian Brothers it was an experience to stay in what was the Brothers accommodation. The staff were excellent and I have no hesitation in saying that the food at dinner time in the restaurant section was amongst the best ever.G8 location.

We recently went here for Sunday lunch. The soup when it arrived was barely hot enough at €7 it was way over priced. Service was slow, albeit was Mothers Day and busy but they could have done with an extra pair of hands in the restaurant. The main the course was also barely hot enough, the beef was not particularly...

2nd time staying here - Couldn't speak highly enough of the place and the staff. Makes a real nice change from modern hotels, the bar, restaurant and breakfast were all very good and the bed was massive for a good nights kip..

We had a party of ten celebrating a milestone birthday and we we offered the private room, with its own fire, which was very welcome on a cold February night. They were excellent in organizing the personalized menus, and nothing was a problem. Service and food was fantastic, and would really recommend it. I have been here on numerous times,...

We were given the Presidential Suite which is actually a very lovely family room. The rooms were spotless, and quiet and comfortable. The hotel is a lovely old building, and decorated beautifully. The bar was very busy, but still comfortable, on a Saturday night. Breakfast was absolutely delicious.
