The location is good, the staff is really helpful, and there's a well-equipped kitchen BUT you cannot expect for any worse bathrooms. At first the bathrooms looked tidy and spacious, but once you've used them, you're gonna cry. There are 3 bathrooms for women but only 1 bathroom can be locked. There are no space to hang your stuffs (Towel,...

I stayed there four nights during the annual Westport traditional/bluegrass festival (which was wonderful), and with the exception of Saturday night where I had to move into an 8 person girls' dorm (fairly chaotic), I loved every minute of it. Tom, Anthony and the rest of the staff and volunteers (whose names I didn't get) were the nicest, and they...

Good hostel, calm and silent in a beautiful stone building. The staff are very friendly, the breakfast is great as they have self-made bread, and the bathrooms / showers were one of the finest I've ever seen on a hostel. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The beds are not top quality, and it gets a little chilly in the evening....

Our first impressions were very good and the guy at reception was very helpful and friendly. The 4 bed room was pretty spacious and clean. The bed was also comfortable. Very reasonably priced at €50 for two nights (fri&sat). They also required a 25€ deposit which was no problem either. The only problem was some individual vomited in the corridor...

I have stayed here a number of times and will return in future. This hostel is centrally located in Westport and has public car parking nearby. Always is clean and tidy and the bathrooms have been recently refurbished. Staff have always been pleasant and helpful.

The main thing that annoyed me about this place is that there's no soap or hand towels in the public washroom. But there's also no locks on the shower doors, no lockers in the rooms (only at reception), and only 1 electrical outlet for a 6 bed dorm. Their only saving grace is that they bake fresh bread for breakfast.

Extremely disappointing! For starters if you're going to rudely tell your guests to go away until 3:30 PM to check in, then it's a bit ridiculous to then make them check out before 10AM! How long does it take to tidy such a small Hostel? More than the time allowed apparently because the place was still quite grubby. Very over...

Stayed hired with two friends for two nights in April. I had phoned and booked weeks in advance, and I had requested an email confirmation booking-when we got there our booking wasn't on the system and only there was a room available we would have been completely left to our own devices. The bathroom was way down the corridor. Room...

I have stayed in hostels all over the world, and this hostel has to be the most unfriendly, unhomely and unwelcoming places I have ever stayed in. I had just cycled 150km in the wind and pouring rain, and I arrived right on dark (around 6.30pm) hoping for a nice relaxing stay and a warm night. My bike was loaded...

Staff were helpful when checking in, recommended a few places to eat/drink and gave us detailed directions. Rooms were nice, I joined a group that had pre-booked and I was accommodated into the room next to them and given an option of having a bed moved into their room for me. Cooking facilities seemed decent and the eating area had...
