My husband and I were searching frantically for a place to stay as it got dark in County Sligo. There were nearby weddings that had left everything booked. We were so lucky then to be directed to the Chestnut Lawn B&B where we were greeted warmly by Christina and Freddy who welcomed us into their lovely home. The room was...

Best B&B ever! Christina and Freddy open their beutiful house to their guests like very good friend could. We felt home every minutes of our stay. Clean and spacious room, delicious breakfast, a fluffy dog. Good position to reach Strandhill beach or the nice city of Sligo. We would return here for sure.

I just came back from a lovely weekend in Sligo. I can't recommend this B&B enough, beautiful and clean rooms, tasty breakfast but the best are the hosts Freddy and Christina who made me and my friend feel at home. Nothing was a problem, Freddy even gave us a lift after I rang him trying to find their B&B walking...

This B&B had beautiful rooms and friendly (and quite funny) hosts!! They have a beautiful dog named Harley who is very well behaved and friendly. The room and bathroom were plenty spacious, though the shower is a bit small. They do use a fair amount of scented fabric softener on the sheets, so if you are allergic you may want...

Very nice. Lovely bedroom and bathroom. Feels like a 5 star hotel. Very substantial breakfast with lovely hosts. Plenty of parking. Very easy place to continue our travels. Nearby restaurants made it easy to find a good dinner.

Loved this b & b. Beautiful home and spotlessly clean. Superb hosts. Nothing too much trouble. We really felt at home and just sorry our trip wasn't longer. And what can we say about Harley the Siberian Husky. He certainly did steal the show.

Freddie and Christine, went out of their way to help us locate a very small out of the way place, that we didn't know the name of, just approximately where it was located. I had Left my purse sitting outside at a tiny roadside cafe. They figured out where we needed to go, called the owners...who had found my purse....

We arrived to the welcoming smiles of our innkeepers Christina and Freddy. They showed us our room and gave us restaurant suggestions and directions. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. They make their own soda bread. It and everything else was very tasty. They gave us great suggestions on where to go and what to see that day. In the...

A fantastic B&B with lovely hosts. Lovely spacious room with tv, kettle, hairdryer, full length mirror and bathrobes. Bedroom and bathroom were immaculate. Beautiful hot full Irish breakfast with homemade brown bread, cereals, fruit salad, yogurt etc. Nothing was too much bother. I would definately go back and highly recommend it. Thank you both.

Everything is pristine & clean, right from the lawn to the rooms & kitchen. You will be out of place for being untidy in this house. Great hosting from Freddy, he is a bit forgetful though, keep asking us for our breakfast order. Pardon his forgetfulness, as he share jokes with us while serving breakfast.

“All rooms are on the ground floor which would be helpful for any with physical disabilities. One bedroom has a private bath that is not en suite. We didn't stay in it, but it looked really clean and wonderful and just next to the room. It we had taken that room we would have been quite comfortable.”
