Probably the best value hotel I've stayed in. Yeah, the decor is dated, but it was central, clean, the staff were really friendly and the food was top class. The restaurant is essentially the bar. I'd expected pub grub, what I got could have come from any of the city's top spots. It was almost incongruous. No need to dress up. Its very casual. Make sure your room faces the water. 417 was grand.

We booked the 1 night B&B with dinner, as this is a 3 star Hotel we where not excepting absolute luxury, but what we did get was well beyond our expectations. Easy to find, with ample safe parking the hotel is right in the middle of Waterford city on the river. A lovely cosy and quick welcome explaining all the services and entitlements, we went to our room with a river view. This is your standard double bed room, TV, coffee making facilities, iron and board, safe, a spacious bathroom with toiletries. Look, its a 3 star property but could't felt it, warm and clean. The evening meal with fantastic, and this is where the 3 star exceptions where exceeded, the food is fabulous, the inclusive menu choice is limited, 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 desserts, but what you do get is marvellous. Breakfast in the morning, again, what you would except in any 3/4 star hotel, can't find any fault. Cons- bar a little noisy at night with the live band as our room was just above the bar terrace, but didn't go on late. Pros- lovely cosy warm hotel with great staff and exceptional food. Will be back.

I stayed in the Waterford Marina Hotel Waterford for a few nights just before the new year. It was just what I wanted. The rooms etc were fine, nothing special but certainly very adequate but what would bring me back again was the service and the welcome. In particular there were two day managers whom I found most helpful and accommodating.

The next stop on our round Ireland tour was Waterford where we decided to stay 2 nights in a “town centre “ hotel with secure parking After checking reviews including Tripadvisor we selected the Waterford Marina Hotel Great choice, great hotel . We booked a meal in the hotel for the first night,we so enjoyed it we immediately booked for the remaining night Meals were being served in the bar and part of the restaurant due to Covid, the food was freshly prepared and delicious, with a view over the adjoining river Great atmosphere in the bar and reasonably priced drinks Our room had a King sized bed and overlooked the river Everywhere was super clean and we could walk to almost anywhere in Waterford easily which made a pleasant change from driving All in all a really good quality hotel in a great setting overlooking the river,no hesitation in recommending it

First and foremost let me start with the food . We had a evening meal on the waterfront restaurant it was absolutely fabulous we also hag the buffet breakfast which again was fabulous. The only negative is the rooms seriously need updating the look ran down the bed was comfy but the decor and furniture looks very old and dated . Same with the corridors can look so much more appealing. The bathroom was cleary something you would see in the 80s but again we can fault the food and the staff chloe at the front desk was fantastic.
