From start to finish the owner could not have been more helpful. Very clean, very homely. The grounds are gorgeous and very well kept. I slept like a baby, it was so quiet. I chose to have the full English breakfast, it was honestly the best breakfast I've had. I could not complain about a thing. Would definitely recommend.

Friendly and welcoming owner. Clean and comfortable if limited headroom in the bathroom! Good breakfast and home-made jams for sale. Lovely setting in gardens of historic mansion. Avoid the pub food next door.

Beautiful little bed and breakfast surrounded with lovely gardens. We stayed here while visiting Southampton to see the England cricket match at the Ageas bowl. Was about a 20 minute walk to the ground which was ideal. The cottage itself had 3 rooms and was charmingly decorated. The owners were very welcoming and breakfast the next morning was delicious with... More

Went to the Ageas Bowl last night to see Sir Rod Stewart and needed a hotel in walking distance. All sold out or ridiculously expensive. Found Strawberry Cottage which is twenty minutes walk away. Lovely place. A separate cottage in the grounds of the owners Manor House. Comfortable bedroom (watch the sloping roof!) with everything you need. Very pleasant and... More

Strawberry Cottage is a 4(?)-room B&B located in the urban suburb of Southampton. The accommodation is in what looks like a totally refurbished former outbuilding of the historic main manor house. The farm has been now surrounded by buildings but at a suitable distance, far enough away to be nice and quiet. The accommodation is hotel quality 3 or 4*,... More

I booked this place after reading all the fab reviews and tbh it was even better than I expected. Warm reception on arrival and shown to lovely room upstairs in separate building to main cottage. Tip - high heels not very suitable especially in the dark as pathway a little rocky! my fault not theirs! Great to stay in a... More
