Food was reasonably priced, service was friendly and nicely done. The real ale was in meltdown as all three ales went off and there was no one to rectify the problem - such a shame. Service was good and food range was excellent - wife said she would go here again, so that always means it was acceptable.

The Oakwheel is practically my local, but it's rare I visit. The boy fancied a pub tea so off we decided we'd give the Oakwheel a go. Since I last visited it's been decorated and tidied up a bit and there is a new menu coming soon. The choice of drinks is fairly limited but that's probably because the bar...

Just had a 4 night stay for the first time at the Oakwheel. Received a very friendly professional reception and was shown to a very nice spotlessly clean spacious and comfortable bedroom which was connected to a large modern bathroom. Returned each evening for my evening meal which is served in the restaurant / bar. All the food was cooked...

Very friendly staff asked if we were enjoying the meal as if they...

We take a short break up to Scarborough a couple of times a year. This time we took a 5-day break in a delightful cottage just outside Scarborough. In the visitors book, The Oakwheel Inn was highly recommended. We were not disappointed. They offer a good choice and range of food in their menu along with a specials board. We...

Very nice little pub hotel, room well worn but clean and tidy I normally rate rooms by its shower which in this case was a big let down, but the food served in the bar and friendly staff made up for it.

My husband and I made a last minute decision to eat out and chose the Oakwheel. We found the staff to be very friendly and attentive and the place was very welcoming and cosy. The food however, I found to be a little disappointing... My husband had the steak, which was well presented but not cooked to his request, which...
