Scotia House is a beautifully renovated town house opposite the conference centre. The rooms are comfortably appointed and immaculately clean. Breakfast is freshly cooked, with plenty of choice, and the owner is a fantastic host who made me feel very welcome and at home. I would definitely stay here again and would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to...

Have stayed at several large hotels in Harrogate, but after reading the positive reviews for Scotia House, thought we would give it a try.So glad we did! Prompt and friendly check in, convenient free parking and excellent location. Room was beautifully decorated, warm and well equipped for a comfortable stay. The highlight was the breakfast with excellent continental buffet and...

We stayed here for 1 night for a leisure break, booking 2 rooms direct just a few days prior to arriving. We also had our 9 month old daughter with us so Room 2 (the king) was perfect and spacious. The whole place was also extremely clean. Marie was such a fantastic host and made us all feel welcome throughout...

We stopped here for one night and we absolutely loved our stay. The room was very clean, warm and well furnished. Breakfast was generous and they used also locally sourced produce which is quite important for me. Staff were very courteous and attentive, they made sure we were well looked after even if when we arrived they were not there....

We arrived late evening at Scotia House. Our room key was left in a key safe and was easy to pick up. A nice touch was that Maria had switched on our room’s bedside lights before our arrival so that we walked into a warm room that was already lit. We slept well in our quiet room with comfortable beds....

Excellent location, very clean, chic and comfortable. Marie and her staff pay attention to detail. Mad Marie is just lovely and so friendly....she made our stay even more enjoyable. The location is great....close to shops, bars and restaurants and ideally placed for HIC.

Clean, well furnished b&b directly opposite the conference centre. Also well located for town centre, despite its location it was quiet although my room (1) was at the back. Breakfast average. Fruits and cereal available. Rooms pretty well equipped. Host efficient, formally friendly. There's many small hotels along this stretch, equally well located, not sure I'd return here.

we had a fabulous time at Scotia House. The house has a lovely welcoming feel when you walk in. Our room had a big comfy bed, nice big towels, bath robes and sweets and chocolates on the hospitality tray along with an amazing choice of teas. Breakfasts were well cooked and well presented with plenty of choice. Marie was an...

Booked in early August and deposit paid, arrived yesterday to find that the owner did not have me booked in. She tried to say that the deposit I had paid was non-refundable and this was her first 'mix up' in 5 years. I agree we all can make a mistake but where did that leave me. It was 4pm and...
