My husband and I stayed one night after visiting a show at the conferance centre. The hotel is impressive from the outside. The entrance hall is splendid yet comfortable. Booking in was done very quickly and by a very pleasant receptionist. There are lifts to all floors. Our room was a good size and comfortably furnished. It was clean and... More

Basic bedroom but great traditional public spaces. There was 6 of us, work friends away for a long weekend walking holiday in October 2016. Harrogate was a great location for our break. The hotel was a good central location in the town with a great choice of many great restaurants. The rooms were very basic and could do with upgrading.... More

Stayed at the Crown for the second time this year and enjoyed our stay staff friendly and the breakfast set us up for the day. We were lucky on our visit as the Christmas market was on with lots of stalls. Would definitely stay at the Crown again on our next visit to harrogate.

Room, light evening meal and full breakfast all very good. Radiator in room not working on arrival but duty manager came immediately with supplementary heater - excellent customer service. All staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Hotel full of character.

What a shame a beautiful imposing building in fact quite stunning, but there it ends. Our room was cold, the radiators were barely warm. I went down to reception who told us that the heating comes on at 10pm at night!! It wasn't exactly cheap and at 4c outside this was unacceptable. I said not good enough and when we... More

This was our first visit to Harrogate. Sadly, we were very disappointed with our stay at The Crown Hotel. It was so different to the website and to the recent reviews we had read. The menu on the website for the restaurant was not the same one when we arrived and we had booked this hotel for the menu advertised.... More

We found the Crown a very good base for staying in Harrogate. It's got a great location, central to most attractions and the public rooms are beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful. We chose the most basic rooms as wouldn't be in them much and they were good value for the price paid. Clean and a good shower. Yes, they... More

The facade of the Crown Hotel is attractive and in a part of Harrogate which gives relatively easy access to the shopping area and the International Centre. Our arrival at the hotel was professionally dealt with by the young lady on reception. We were allocated room 257 which is a twin room of satisfactory proportions. The outlook was dismal but... Have stayed before a few years ago. Very limited parking, however they do advise so. Room was clean and comfortable. Very small radiator, which meant it struggled to heat the room with it having high ceiling. No heating in bathroom. We ate in "The Place" within the hotel, this was very good. Breakfast nice enough too.
