Friendly staff and lovely breakfast. Well positioned for the town and great looking building. Our bed very soft but room sufficient. Nothing really wrong with the hotel but decor a bit boring but everyone has their own opinion.

Arrived at 3pm in pouring down rain with nowhere to park but the lady on the desk was very lovely and helpful ( the lady with the long brown hair ) finally found a spot round the back , the place is a little tired but we really enjoyed it , first class breakfast anyone who complains at that I...

We booked here at short notice via Secret Escapes and managed to get a good deal which made it comparable to a Travel Lodge so we were very happy. Our room was pleasantly decorated and clean with a large bathroom but there was no view only onto an internal service area and the walls between rooms were thin allowing sound...

What a position What a impressive looking building What !!! LIMITED parking Turned up at 9pm and was told I will need to park a mile up the road as the car park was busy .. Nowhere on the website says it has limited spaces , I have exspensive equipment in the vehicle so that meant it had to off...

The hotel's location is perfect only a minute away from Bettys Tea Room and the Shops and restaurants. The Lady on reception was very professional, we had no...

I spent two nights in The Crown Hotel at the beginning of August 2015; Harrogate was busy that weekend, and £178 for two nights (£89 per night without breakfast) was the best deal that I could find online at short notice. The Crown Hotel appears luxurious, in a dark and gloomy sort of way, and the staff, although many of...

Lovely stay here booked for two nights but would happily have stayed longer. Food first class ..super choice at breakfast pleasant relaxed atmosphere. Staff polite and helpful. Excellent location for Harrogate city centre. .surrounding area filled with beautiful floral displays. Will definitely be back :-D...a perfect short break. Only downside was the lack of space to park.

All the previous reviews give a fairly true assessment of this hotel, it is very old, and parking is a nightmare, but the position of the Crown, and especially the breakfast is excellent. I consider that value for money is fine. I paid £139 for B&B, in a twin room and the breakfast was superb, you can help yourself to...

The Crown Hotel is very convenient for Harrogate's shops and attractions, but the single room I had was very small and basic and somewhat tired and shabby. Breakfast was self service and was adequate, and the staff were friendly.
