Nothing special about this hotel. The room we stayed in was £206 with breakfast for two. It was very basic. Premier inns are better. The most scarce tea coffee and horrible uht milk. Kettle small. Curtains far too long all srcunched up on the windowsill. The bath shallow and narrow. The hallway carpets had stains all over. The money they must make they should have lovely clean carpets. The leather sofas in the Fat Badger need replacing they where torn and shabby. The receptionist never asked how our stay was. After paying a lot of money for this, there was an on top charge for parking of £12 over night, unbelievable, the carpark is the most narrow difficult to move your car in that I have ever been in with concrete pillars all around The cooked breakfast was Luke warm. I have had far better breakfasts at cheap b&b's. The toast took that long to toast we didn't bother. The pot of tea wasn't hot. The food in The adjoining Fat Badger was better and the cappuccino was nice. Shall never stay here again. Stingy tight and nothing special.

Hotel's Favourite
Another visit and this time we chose to stay in the three bed apartment, it's amazing, so much space, clean, great facilities, every room has an en-suite, Lovely kitchen area which would be great to cook and eat in if there weren't so many wonderful restaurants to choose from in Harrogate. The lounge was separate from the kitchen which meant it was a great space for the older teens, particularly as it had an X box they could use. It's ideally located for easy access to everything with parking on site. If you want the luxury of a hotel but the independence of self catering then this is the perfect place. We will definitely be booking into one of the apartments again. Just to add that the staff were all there usual friendly selves, the hotel is clearly following government guidelines, plenty of hand sanitiser available, every where was lovely and clean and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend a stay here.

We had a lovely weekend at this hotel. It was very well placed for the town/shops/cafes/restaurants/walks/parks/Harlow Carr. The breakfast was very good even though the Hotel and the time we wanted to eat was very busy. The only improvement would be to offer a proper Americano coffee (from a Barista machine) but i guess this would only add to the workload of the staff.

We have stayed on numerous occasions at this lovely hotel. It’s location is excellent, clean and welcoming and the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel and the hotel’s Badger bar serves tasty food and the seating outside is so comfortable. Recent additions of the little outside heated domes are a fantastic idea for cold winter evenings. Callum stood out as a member of staff who went the extra mile in terms of service and helpfulness. Breakfast was excellent and lunch time snack really tasty. For value for money this hotel is a gem.

The last time we were at this lovely restaurant was in Feb 2020…. It was good then .. it’s even better now. We were in the really welcoming bar area for lunch ….for me it was perfect homemade fish cakes with asparagus, puréed peas and fries… delicious, surprisingly light fish cakes and really crisp hot fries. Hubby had the maple glazed belly pork with perfectly cooked scallops, crackling and dauphinois potatoes… plus extra jus on the side. Beautifully cooked all round! Haven’t had such a perfectly cooked lunch in a long time. The surroundings are uber comfortable and very stylish … makes you want to stay! Service by the team of Emma, Liv and Richard excellent! Thank you guys and well done! We will definitely be back! Regards Dave and Ginny Walton
