Chose this guest house because I was travelling with 2 small dogs and they offered suitable accomodation. The room was well appointed with luxury Villeroy & Boch crockery and a wide selections of refreshments. The room itself was spaceous and airy with a large luxury ensuite bathroom comprising of a whirlpool spa bath and powerful wetroom style shower. The restaurant...

We booked 3 deluxe rooms for 3 nights for a family get-together before a wedding. The rooms were comfortable, clean and well equipped, cosy without being cramped, good jacuzzi bath and shower. Breakfast on both days was excellent and we enjoyed a very good family dinner the evening before the wedding, all 3 courses were tasty, well cooked, good quality,...

An attractive 'superior' B&B... very good food - but not cheap. Rooms pleasantly appointed - shower ran very hot - be warned (did mention this on check out) - friendly staff. A nice walk into the city - but clearly way marked all the way - more for the adventurous.

This was a Christmas present for my wife and I. A two night stay with breakfast and evening meal. When we arrived we were met by Vicky and offered tea or coffee. She then took us up to our room, carrying our case. She was very friendly. The room was an upgrade with a jaccussi. The room and furnishings were all...

Great Hotel, spotless extremely comfortable rooms, and superb food (albeit a tad expensive). It was just let down by a charmless check in, I have a broken arm and we had a horrendous motorway journey and all I wanted was to get to my room use the loo and have a lie down. Instead we were asked to take a...

We stayed here with the express intention of seeing the Severn bore. What a fortuitous choice. We arrived much earlier than anticipated, but were made very welcome and the knowledgeable receptionist helpfully advised on a great walk into Gloucester. Interesting location close to the river on marshy land above Gloucester, with an opportunity to visit the restored canal basin at...

The food at this hotel is excellent. My husband and I had different choices from the menu and it was all very good. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very well appointed. Lovely hand cream and shower gel etc and home made biscuits in the room. We were looked after very well by both the manager and staff. This is...

The food really was exceptional, we ate in the restaurant twice and everyone mentioned the quality of the food. We were a large party taking up several rooms, they were all spotless, comfy, welcoming and excellent room products to use, a bonus that they have 1 dog friendly room. Breakfast was very high quality also, staff were attentive and genuinely...

Nice house and surroundings, enjoyable walk to docks area and easy to get a taxi to town. We booked 2 rooms- a luxury and superior. One cost £12 more than the other, but there was little difference. The rooms were smallish but clean, apart from dusty bedside lamps. Pleasant view, enjoyable breakfast with good quality food, although we had to...

We stayed one night at this hotel outside of Gloucester and had an evening meal here following attending a concert at the cathedral in town. The premises are owned by the Gloucestershire and Herefordshire Canal Trust and we were amazed to learn that all the building work was done by volunteers. The hotel and restaurant's takings contribute to the Trust's...
