If you don't book this because of other reviews then it's unfair .. Look it's very dated and desperately needs a refurb but for what I needed which was a bed close to the quays. Would I stay again ? Not if the Travelodge was available for the same price ! Tip to them - either refurb or be cheaper...

Very grubby accommodation in a rundown part of Gloucester with few redeeming features. On arrival, we were greeted with maybe the least friendly receptionist we've ever had. The pub, the staircase and halls and - especially - the room are very rundown: flaked paint, lights which don't work, windows with gaps, tiles missing off the bathroom wall. Our room was...

Room 7 was shabby, carpet dirty, sky light was rotten and you could see day light through it and a draft. Room was so cold, radiator did not work, and only bottom rail on heated towel rail worked. would not dare use the shower, it was so badly lit in there, perhaps for the better. Pub was dirty needed a...

The outside was shabby, cigarette ends and rubbish greeted you before a dirty & dated inside. The curtains and carpet were very old & tatty in our room. Neither of us could face entering the shower. The bar area, I don't think, had seen a paint brush since well before the smoking ban. Will not be returning.

Dirty shabby uncomfortable. The poor quality of the accomodation was only out done by the poor behaviour of some inconsiderate guests who managed to shout and argue through the night. Made Fawlty towers look good. Never mind gradeII listed building, it should be listed for demolition. Best avoided - there are many better places to stay in Gloucester - please...

Stayed here a couple of times now. Ideally located for visiting the city centre. The rooms are clean and functional if somewhat dated. Prefer this type of room to the 'samey' travellodge rooms. Tea and coffee making facilities Trouser press Shower.

We stayed here for a night after a wedding, and were slightly awkward customers in that we needed to check in early, go set up some things at the wedding and return back for a quick lunch, before getting ready to go to the wedding (and then returning at 1am!). Staff were very obliging and went above and beyond to...

Booked for one night as a stop over from Newquay. Put in room number 1.The lights were so dim that it was difficult to see the state of the room at first. Sat on the lumpy bed which had dark hairs on the sheet and pillow. At the side of the bed next to the wall was toe nails and...

I went to this pub for lunch with a group of friends. The service was warm and friendly. We sat out in the beer garden as it was a sunny day. The food came within reasonable time and was delicious. Portions were good for the money. Though I've only been to the linden tree once for lunch, I'd definitely recommend...

Stayed at the Linden Tree, thankfully for only one night. We booked two rooms and they both smelt of stale cigarettes. The double room bed needed a new mattress - springs coming through so a grim night's sleep. According to the information in the room the hairdryer was supposed to be in the desk drawer - maybe it was in...
