I haven't been here for years so was a little apprehensive as I've heard many mixed reviews.Well the carvery was gorgeous for £6.25 you cannot beat it. I had beef and pork with proper crackling. Yorkie pud, cauliflower cheese, mash ,roast potatoes and mixed veg.It was cooked beautiful and was piping hot. Highly recommend!

I went with my daughter for a Birthday meal; I have only used their carvery before, which is very good and good value, but my meal last night was dire; I had chicken supreme, it was so dry, it was in "shreds", hardly any sauce, a few root vegetables and 1 croquette potato, we had to get our own cruet... Took the extended family for a pizza and a drink only to find a notice on the door that the place was closed for a private function. The bar where we were intending to seat ourselves was empty but we couldn't get in. What a strange way to run a business.

When checking in lady didn't seem to know what she was doing. Then couple hours after checking in getting a call asking if we were still wanting to book in, as wasn't on the system we had checked in. But did like the fact they are separate apartments. Tidy and basic. Very cold but okay once worked out the heater.... More

Embarrassing, this. Been many times to eat, both as a host and a guest. Latest visit a small annual celebration. Under new management. First warning sign - usually packed carpark only half full, but we were early. New layout inside, new staff. Didn't recognise any from last year. Chose lamb shank; I think it lied about its age. White chocolate,... More

One night stay with my superior half having just attended a family funeral, very friendly staff and attentive to our needs without being in your face, food was fine especially breakfast, accommodation adequate and price reflected, slept like a baby, would recommend. Glyn Portsmouth

We eat out regularly and have now visited the Lodge every week for the last three weeks. Each time we have found the service friendly and efficient and the food really delicious. At the moment we regard it as one of the best of of the seven or eight restaurants we visit around Derby.

This was a family lunch with my mother and sisters, I have been before and enjoyed the Sunday lunch, so I expected that the same quality would be consistent on this visit. On our arrival, the restaurant was well patronised but not what I would describe as busy. Although the restaurants promotes its self as a carvery, at the suggestion... More

After visiting littleover lodge for food after we heard that it had been renovated we were shocked with the service received. There was a mistake with the order and whilst waiting for the food to be changed my meal had then gone cold and there was lack of apologies for the mistake made and there staff were very unwelcoming. I... More
