This was my first stay at The Farmhouse at Mackworth and I would highly recommend it! When we arrived we were greeted cordially by Joe, one of the managers, who checked us in and showed us to our room. We stayed in the Napoleon suite and it has to be one of the best hotel rooms I have ever stayed... More

We visited on a very busy evening, but staff squeezed us in. It was a cosy setting with a lovely log fire - much needed with the frost outside! We waited quite some time for food, but we were well looked after. Servings were very large, and well enjoyed. Pudding still very much recommended though!

We popped in here while visiting the area, only planning to have a quick bite. When we saw the food, it was quite apparent that resistance would be futile. My fiancee and I shared a spicy chicken pizza and prosciutto and caramelised pineapple pizza and they were both absolutely outstanding. Everyone with us loved their food and our waitress, Brittany,... More

Zoltan is the King of service. He is an A Class Restaurant Floor Manager. My food was lovely and the environment was perfect for family togetherness. Such stylish and welcoming surroundings. A Thursday lunch treat.

On arrival we were greeted by a delightful young lady named Bianca, who passed to Joe who was quick to take us to our table and explain what they had available and recommended a delicious fruity white sauvignon blanc bursting with rich and juicy flavours. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and the young gothic manager Carmell really made... More

Stayed the one night as visiting people in nearby areas. The rooms are cosy, if not a tad warm. Everything you need from excellent tea & coffee making to a good quality hairdryer. Towels are soft & fresh as was the bed linen. Bathroom spacious with a choice of shower heads... Rain fall or a more vigorous power shower! Breakfast... More

I visited the Farmhouse for dinner, all the food was well prepared, decent portion sizes and good value for money. I loved the decor of the restaurant and it felt very homely. I was a seated in front of the fire and then was later served by Joseph and Dylan who were able to attend to all my requests. I... More

This is lovely inside. It has a traditional yet temporary feel and I think would suit most people. It is big with lots of different eating/seating areas in the bar and restaurant and also has a nice outdoor area for the summer. The food is good value for money and very nice - a huge improvement on a few years... More
