We had a family birthday lunch here for 22 people, including several children, and we were delighted with the level of service and the quality of the food. We were impressed with the attention to detail. The conservatory restaurant with its lovely views of the extensive gardens is a perfect setting for what was an excellent meal. The staff were...

We have stayed in several hotels & felt things could be improved upon for the amount we paid. Mr Mould even found on a milk jug which my wife was horrified at. The shower was very frustrating having to control it via the bath taps & certainly not good enough for the price paid. My wife hurt her toe on...

We stayed at The Pear Tree for a wedding reception and could not fault it. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the rooms were a good size and well appointed. The gardens were lovely too. Canapés, wedding breakfast and breakfast the next morning were all delicious. The hotel had clearly taken a lot of trouble to make it...

A comfortable country hotel with an excellent restaurant. A very reasonable two night package is available to include breakfast and an evening meal. There is lots to see in the local area. We took bicycles to take full advantage of the quiet country lanes and very good local pubs

We have eaten at the Pear Tree on many occasions and often wondered how lovely an overnight stay would be - so for our anniversary we booked a nights stay - The initial welcome and checking in process was excellent - a nice touch was being offered fresh milk for the tea / coffee facilities in the room (although we...

We recently had a birthday lunch at the Pear Tree for around 30 guests. Food was good quality, service excellent and prices reasonable. A lovely, welcoming hotel. Have never stayed there but on the couple of occasions we have eaten there it has consistently impressed us.

This comfortable dog friendly hotel is a great stop off on the way to the West Country. The staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner in the conservatory was pleasant, food was good but wine list was better! Rooms were comfortable, with good access for the dogs, and not so smart that we didn't feel comfortable with the dogs.

Having stayed here a couple of years ago we were hoping that everything would be as we remembered it. We were pleased to find that the hotel was just as perfect as before. The hotel is easy to find and in a beautiful setting within it's own grounds which are extremely pleasant to stroll around with lovely gardens. Our room...

This place has become a firm favourite for us to hold directors meetings away from the office. The boardroom facility is great, the food is superb (breakfast, lunch, dinner and treats with morning coffee & afternoon tea/coffee). The bedrooms are very nice. Can't fault the services or the service.

We first considered the pear tree on advice of a work colleague who were about to have their wedding there in April 2014. They had a fantastic time and on their advice we took a look. We first visited there last summer and met the events manager and daughter of the current owners Alix Young who showed us round. We...
