Can't say I was overly excited by my meal. The portion size was very large and it was not overly expensive £16 for two courses. This is a pub that is slightly off the beaten track, they have a winning formula that keeps a rural pub viable. Not a venue I would seek out for a special night out but...

The bar staff on arrival were friendly and quickly showed us to our room. Access to the room was up a very steep flight of outdoor stairs which were a little slippy. The room was clean and nicely appointed in an appropriate style for the Inn. There was quite a lot of noise from the bar below but this ended...

I deliberately booked a place to stay away from the Telford International Centre even though that is where the Herbalife Kick Off Event was taking place. I wanted to be away from the crowds and the extra 5.7 miles was well worth the taxi journey back and for. The room had everything I needed and I must say the range...

Love visiting here when in Ironbridge and surrounding areas. Kids enjoy the playground out back, wife is very fussy about food, but she thinks as well as me that the food here is outstanding. Often a good range of drinks on offer, including some ales. The accommodation they offer seems to be popular with travellers too. Lovely old pub in...

We unexpectedly came to the Shakespear inn and we were very nicely surprised, Staff were very friendly, the whole dining area and bar were spotlessly clean, our meals were absolutely out of this world, three of us ate the chicken in a bacon and mushroom sauce, salad and chips and one diner ate the sweet and sour chicken with split...

Popped in for a pint on a Saturday lunch time with my daughters. Off they went to play in the park area of the huge and picturesque beer garden leaving me with the daily rag. Feeling peckish I looked at the bar snack menu and chose to order a smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich. Within 15 minutes I was...

Clean and tidy room, temperamental shower. Excellent value for B&B. Evening meal reasonably priced with good portions. Very friendly, informative staff. Stepped access to bedrooms does not make it easy for young or elderly. Pleasant river walks in both directions. Pub is only open between 1700 and 2300, so all is quiet by bedtime, noise was not a problem.

The Shakespeare Inn is an excellent place to stay when exploring the Ironbridge area. We were very pleased with our room, it was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We would stay here again without hesitation. You get a warm welcome when staying here.
