Cheap hotel on Rivington Service station which as you can imagine can be noisy from the traffic throughout the night. Room was clean enough but shower and bath could do with updating. You have to check in at the Spar checkout which was a bit strange especially when they can`t find your booking. Ok for a cheap work stopover.

Had to change rooms as the first room we were given hadn't been made up. This was a pain as we had to check in at the Spar next door and I had to drag all my stuff back to change rooms. The 2nd room was strange as it was designed for disabled people but it was upstairs and there's...

Quite cheap hotel. Ok for one night stop over, on M61 motorway. Rooms are in need of decoration, minor repairs and a good clean. It doesn't look like it's been decorated since it was taken over from Travelodge some years ago. Some dirt marks on pillow, but there were spares in wardrobe. Very small tv.

I have stayed in some real cheap hotels, where the rooms were reasonably kept, the staff were friendly and helpful. At the Rivington Lodge (EUROGARAGES) none of that applies, the cleaner doesn't come in your room until you have left, she doesn't change towels EVER or remove your rubbish. I was moved from room 17 to room 6 on the...

We stayed here for one night in room number 1. We got to the room no teaspoons for tea and coffee. We asked for some but staff never returned with any. Bathroom floor I don't think had seen a mop for a good few years. Sofa bed for the children had horrible dirty marks on, there was a broken light...

Just such a throw from the 60s the bin had an Morrison's bag in it when we took it out there was rubbish below. Toenail clippings under the bed. Not value for the money we paid. You had to go to the Spar shop to get your key, not ideal.

After booking the hotel with my partner I knew for the price it would be nothing special however this was inexplicable. The room was filthy it stunk of damp, the bathroom was damp and mouldy, no mattress protector, there was bottles from I presume the last person staying there. We complained and the staff couldn't care less so decided to...

We needed a cheap hotel near Wigan to spend the night before a sporting event the following morning. The Rivington Lodge came up on the search engine for £30 so we booked. It is very easy to find as it's just off the M61 so getting there wasn't a problem. Upon arrival we saw a sign instructing us to check...
