Stayed for 2 nights with a friend to attend a wedding locally. Stayed in a family room which was bright and spacious and had a good size bathroom. Rooms were clean with fresh bedding after the first night. Complimentary continental breakfast included. Lovely courtyard where you can sit and have a coffee. Staff were all very helpful and friendly and the hotel has a wonderful homely feeling. Great location for shopping and bars. We would stay again.

I booked this hotel one year in advance (July 2017) knowing I would like to be in Maidstone in June 2018. Within a few weeks of booking the hotel took over £300 from my credit card. Not a holding charge they took the full amount of the booking, which I then had to pay in my next monthly statement. One month before my date of stay i cancelled the hotel for personal reasons. The terms of the booking were free cancellation up to one month prior to stay. I have been in contact with he hotel by email on several occasions without satisfaction or repayment. Trying to call the hotel on their published phone number receives an engaged tone at all time i have tried.

My partner and I stayed with two friends on a Saturday in July. The hotel is within very close walking distance of the town centre and a multi story car park where you can park overnight. Check in and out was easy and the receptionist was lovely. We were all happy with our rooms (4 and 5) however they were Very Very warm! One room had a ceiling fan and one did not, but we were given a table fan by reception which was needed! The rooms are clean. The bathrooms could do with a bit of a refurb as the shower was quite old although it was powerful and warm. The bathroom cold tap made a really loud vibrating noise when switched on but this wasn’t a massive issue. Breakfast was modest but can be taken to eat in your room. For the price I think it’s a little over priced and a premier inn or travel lodge would be cheaper. I think due to no air con and no hot breakfast the price of a stay should be cheaper.

We stayed last night after my partner had some treatment at Maidstone hospital. There is both good things and not so good about this hotel. First the not so good; This is to me a Guest House or a B&B not a hotel. ( I have worked in hotels in the past) A Hotel usually has a bar, lounge and some sort of cooking going on even if basic. This establishment lacks all of these things. We had no glasses in our room and one of the cups was cracked and the toilet sea was broken. The room was described as a large double but it was small ( I wonder how small a standard room is) There were no instructions on what to do in case of fire or a we come pack of any kind. The breakfast was very basic but could be greatly improved by things such as a bowl of fresh fruit salad, a bit more selection of meat cheese and a bit more effort displaying it. The good things were.; lovely comfortable bed, room at back of building was quiet. The Staff were friendly and helpful. The bed linen and towels were beautifully clean. If this was described as a B&B and a little more attention to detail this would be very acceptable.

I stayed here with my partner as was visiting the area, the hotel was well looked after in the main area and had Morden decor throughout. Our room was fresh, clean and very pretty- perfect for what we was needing it for. The bathroom could of done with a layer of paint as there was splash masks up the wall but overall the hotel is a lovely base if you are looking for a central base! We would definitely return for the price we paid!
