The price is good, the location is good, free parking is good but the rooms are a bit weathered and basic. The tv is poor, the bathroom and bedding is ok and fairly comfortable. Can be noisy at times. For Watford this offers fairly good value for money however as it's very expensive place to stay. Good location for shopping,...

I stayed for 3 nights on a business trip. The rooms are clean but need a refurb. The location is good and parking is free. The staff were courteous, the bar was ok with average prices and the restaurant looked ok, although I did not personally use it. The greatest downfall of this hotel is the internet! For the whole...

Despite the £65 a night stay, the room was on the ground floor, next to the front door entrance. If you require a good sleep, then do not stay on the ground floor. The reception staff were lovely and helpful. The restaurant however was the biggest negative. Not only is it expensive but you have to go and look for...

I stayed here for three nights and across the road at The Best Western White House for four nights the week before while my partner was in Watford General Hospital. Of the two hotels, Travelstop was the better value for money at around £50 a night. Just over ten minutes walk from the hospital, close to the town centre, the...

Arrived 4 hours early to see if we could leave our luggage for the delightful girl on reception let us know we could actually check in. Having travelled through the night, this was a relief! The room itself was on the top flight and was very comfortable & cosy. The facilities were top class though the bath taps did look...

The only good reason for staying here is it's location for town centre and the price. Two very important factors of course but they're not the only ones. An additional advantage is the privacy of the reception being over the road. This means you can come and go when you please without having to run the gauntlet of reception. There's...
