Dear Simon, Thank you for your lovely review but unfortunately, I think you may have posted it on the wrong Corner Cottage page. We are a Bed and Breakfast near Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire. I hope your review finds it’s way to the right Corner Cottage accommodation page. Kind regards Caroline

Caroline and Keith are wonderful hosts - nothing is too much trouble. We booked for three nights and extended for another two nights. The rooms are comfortable, the breakfasts are excellent, and the rooms are serviced daily. The cottage is in a great location and Keith helped us plan day trips to explore surrounding places of interest. The guest lounge and dining areas are well stocked with tea, coffee and magazines and were available at any time. The last time I stayed in the Cotswolds I stayed in a hotel. This was so much better.

Highly recommended - clean, comfortable and most welcoming. Ideally located to explore The Cotswolds. The owners couldn't have been more welcoming, thoughtful and informative. Excellent breakfast. Lovely having a guest only lounge to relax in.

I stayed with my girlfriend at corner cottage in recent April for four nights. We visited the area of Cotswolds for tourism and after a basic web search, we decided to book Corner Cottage at Alderton. We were very lucky choosing this excellent bed and breakfast for our stay. Corner Cottage is managed and run by the owners themselves, Keith and Caroline. We were warmed welcomed by Keith who offered us cup of tea and some snacks. The whole building is very beautiful, the yard is charming with plants, flowers and lots of parking space. The lobby is cosy and the small breakfast room is so nice. The room we had is really spacious, very clean, well designed and decorated, with a modern private bathroom and the most comfortable double bed. Additionally, the room – besides the standards- is equipped with boiler, tasteful coffee, everyday renewing treats and snacks, a plasma television, bottles of fresh water, fluffy bathrobes, so much toiletries and a small fridge outside of the room. The view from our window was wide fields of great Cotswolds nature. The breakfast is the best we have ever had. Keith is the cook, Caroline makes all the rest for the delicious breakfast. You can have a rich English breakfast (the best bacon ever), lots of fresh jams, creals, homemade juice and of course tea, milk and coffee. The breakfast is so full that can give you power for the rest of the day. The village of Alderton is next to Tewkesbury. It came up to be extremely convenient for our everyday trips throughout Cotswolds. Also, have in mind that Alderton’s pub (I forgot it’s name) is very good for a meal or dinner. The most important factor that made our stay so wonderful is the people, Keith and Caroline. Keith is always there to help you providing information and details about Cotswolds routes, villages and places you should visit besides the famous and most advertised spots. Kate with a unique and spiritual sense of humor is always helpful to everything that can make your stay more easy and enjoyable. Personally, I had the chance to have a few conversations with Keith and I really was glad to meet him. I admire and have great respect for every person who cares about other people, wants the best for the society and a humanistic point view is not just a matter of words but a way of life and Keith is such a person. It was pleasure and joy to meet you guys, hope to see you again. Overall, maybe it was the best place we stayed. If you are planning to visit Cotswolds, that is the place.

We were warmly greeted by Caroline and Keith and offered a hot drink. We were then shown to our room which was lovely and clean. They were extremely knowledgeable about the surrounding area and offered us a map and a book which we could use during our stay. There was a hospitality tray in the room and fresh milk was put in a fridge outside the room for us to use. The breakfast was freshly cooked each morning ( I hate having to order the night before) so a little wait but you get tea and coffee while you wait for your choice of cooked foods. The gardens are well looked after as well as the house. There is plenty of parking so no rushing back to get a parking space. In the bathroom you get nice fluffy dressing gowns. There are blinds in the rooms to be able to keep the light out should you wish to use them. The only letdown and no fault of the owners is the noise from the road. ( we should of checked where the house was in relation to any roads.) The position is great as you can reach all the villages of the Cotswold easily. Would I stay again? Yes absolutely.Thank you Caroline and Keith for a lovely weekend.

So glad we made a return visit to Corner Cottage in Alderton for the GWSR Steam Gala. Just as friendly a welcome from Caroline and Keith and just as spotless with great breakfasts and more suggestions for the local area rich in interest and with lots to see. This really is an excellent base, especially for the GWSR railway anytime of the year, good road access and plenty of parking space. Lovely gardens to look out onto with its bird song to gently wake you up to in the morning.. idyllic. Excellent...

A really nice well run B&B by a very attentative and helpful couple. It is ideally situated for Hiking in the Cotswolds, with the Winchcombe Way, Cotswold Way, and Gloucester Way all nearby. The local village pub is about 7 mins walk away. A very enjoyable stay.

Very friendly guest house with own entrance for guests, as property is basically two cottages adjoined. Good conversation and no rush. Extremely clean and everything thought of down to quite fine points - such as specialist teas and coffees in the room and fluffy dressing gowns. Extremely good value with views of either the garden or the hills out of the front. Although adjacent to a quite busy secondary road the property is private and the road noise minimal. Very convenient location especially for the Gloucestershire Warwickshire railway. Set you up for the day breakfasts.

Stayed here for two nights while doing business in the area. The owners Caroline and Keith are friendly, engaging, enthusiastic hosts for whom nothing is too much trouble. This is a B&B, not a hotel, but every conceivable item necessary to make the stay comfortable was available, both in the bedroom and in the public rooms. Bottled water, three towels for a solo traveller in the bathroom, bedside alarm clock, curtains plus blackout roller blind - and at breakfast dry-cured local bacon (a real treat!) and eggs from hens allowed to roam freely in local fields were among a host of other choices. Lots of different marmalades and jams too - I thought the provision of extra-longhandled spoons for the jamjars very thoughtful and I also liked the fact that the butter had been removed from the fridge in plenty of time and so was exactly the right consistency for spreading - how many times is it rock-hard in hotels! Small things, but they make all the difference for a happy stay. I walked up the lane to the nearby village for an evening meal and Caroline lent me an LED torch as she realised it would be dark when I returned. So all in all a well-run, friendly B&B which deserves the many 5-star ratings given by previous Tripadvisor reviewers.
