Over all good breakfast staff were spot on breakfast was amazing grounds are lovely had a large event going on when we stayed so unfortunately restaurant was full booked on the night so had to go of grounds for evening meal rooms could do with updating tho looks like they haven’t been touch in a while clean but dated
We planned for a staycation during the Spring Bank Holiday in a property in North-west but because of the covid rise in that area we decided to look somewhere south. I am so glad that we chose to stay at this lovely property. Just off the Tewkesbury Town this is a splendid property in a quiet location with a lovely golf course. Our Hilton Guest Room in the Manor building was large with views across the lovely gardens and the hotel was kind enough to make a comfy sofa bed for our daughter. Most importantly the hotel made us feel safe . They had special measures right from the check-in and also during the breakfast. Well done Hilton for taking extra measures to keep the staff and the guest safe. I did have a glitch during the booking but the front desk staff sorted it out without any fuss or hassle although the mistake was on my part. I must thank Michell and Elle from the front desk for sorting it out and ensuring that we had a relaxing stay.…
The grounds of this hotel are lovely, sadly the rooms were quite old and tired. During our stay they were re-papering the hallway to the room, felt like you were in a building site. On a positive the staff and the breakfast were good. It’s not the first time I have stayed here over the years but I feel the venue has seen better days.
We came with a disabled family member and we could not fault the hotel for their wonderful facilities. The disabled room was excellent with the best wet room we had ever seen. The access to the bar, dining room was easy. We were able to use the pool and steam room. All the staff were so professional, friendly and really helpful. The food was excellent and we were never hurried during our meals. Our 4 day stay was relaxing and very enjoyable. We used the hotel as accommodation for the Upton on Severn Jazz Festival, as it is only 10 minutes drive from Upton. We did not use the golf course
The golf course was in very good condition well maintained etc.For any golfers visiting I would strongly recommend avoiding the purchase of a drink at the bar.I was charged £7.90 for a glass of Lager shandy.Remember that a shandy comprises 50% lemonade and 50% lager.I consider that price to be extortionate.I am sure all the usual excuses can be made i.e. Brexit, pandemic and Ukraine war but still not a reasonable price.
Room was dated ,breakfast was good! left some high end face cream in the room when back from holiday called to ask if this can be collected to be told nothing was left in the room … 100% was !so said so it’s been taken then to which the receptionist replied sorry about that and the call was ended not great will never return and certainly won’t recommend what a rubbish end to a pretty decent stay !
Stayed in Tewkesbury for 2 nights while attending a social event. Pleasant hotel. Some renovations currently taking place but this did not affect our stay. Breakfast had a wide variety of fairly standard hotel breakfast food. A better variety of fresh fruit would have been appreciated. Swimming pool small but not overly crowded. Car parking areas can get busy particularly when there is a function like a wedding taking place
Hotel is situated in a beautiful relaxing setting. Staff in all areas have been very forthcoming, courteous. Have visited now most Hilton hotels in the UK and this was missing from my list. Very dated and small room. 80/90 Charme. No closed wardrobe or fridge. No aircon either but this isn’t unexpected in this type of building. Windows can’t be opened very widely. Knobs of desk all loose. Annoying constant rattling sound in bathroom. Plus a charming unhygienic shower curtain which most hotels have abandoned by now. Was told I received an upgraded room due to being a Gold member. Believe only the view was upgraded however. Lovely housekeeping team who followed up on special requests very swiftly and even provided us with recommendations of day trips which we followed up on (Melvern Hills). Amazing view over golf course. Rooms all the same hardware though. Also only received a ‘late’ check out until 1pm whilst all Hilton hotels typically arrange 4pm for Gold members. But I understand this depends on the booking situation. Breakfast was usual Hilton OK standard. Again amazing staff who assisted swiftly with special requests. Pool and changing rooms in perfect condition and so is the gym. Had dinner in bar as restaurant allegedly fully booked. Didn’t look busy but maybe staff shortage. Uninspiring menu but this is Hilton’s standard in the UK. Burgers, Tikka Masala, Fish&Chips etc. Had a beef and chicken burger. Chicken burger clearly from freezer. Chicken wasn’t cooked properly and was too hard to eat. Highlighted this to bar manager who was apologetic and asked me what solution I prefer. I would have expected for the charge of £18(!) to be removed proactively but settled with 2 complimentary coffees as I didn’t want to seek any confrontation on this extended weekend break away. Highlighted this to reception who kindly removed the charge. Swift and efficient. Overall mixed feelings. Great software (staff) but hardware (rooms) need urgent improvements. Amended my review as hotel got in contact and clarified certain items. Would come again!…
Had our wedding here on May 28th - everything was perfect from beginning to end. Venue is beautiful, food is so tasty and beautifully presented, staff are friendly and attentive. Had the best possible day and our guests loved it too. We highly recommend Puckrup Hall as the venue for your special day.
Everything was good - service, cleanliness and food. Rooms were a bit smaller than I’m used to but not worth taking a whole point off. Gym was spacious with lots of machines, and family enjoyed the pool. Friendly and efficient bar and restaurant staff, and golf course looked lovely though due to rain forecast we decided not to play
