Lovely large room with 4 poster bed. It was easy to find and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely however the main part of the hotel needed a little tlc. It's a fantastic Tudor building however inside it could do with a bit of modernising. That said it was perfectly nice for a nights stay.

Stayed one night. Room was perfect . The bar is very nice and well stocked . The staff are good and speak fluent English which is getting to be rare in the hotel industry. The breakfast is ok. The coffee at breakfast is quite foul and the breakfast muffins that the eggs benedict are served on are also rather disgusting.... More

Payment upfront on arrival.Staff not available after 23.00 hrs when bar closes. Room is located on the ground floor by the back door car -park exit. Door handle VERY stiff and takes no little effort to push open. The window aspect looks out onto smokers area which means you can't ventilate the room without smoke fumes, necessary on hot nights... Hotel was nice but rooms and communal areas in need of redecoration. Rooms were comfortable. Cooked breakfast selection was good but choice of fresh fruit, cereals etc. poor. Tea and coffee selection also poor and hot chocolate was not an option. Overpriced when considering quality and choice.

Our room was fine for our stay of three nights and the High Street location could not have been bettered. It was nicely furnished and had good beds, though the pillows were a bit hard. There was a generous hospitality tray and teas, coffees and biscuits were replaced daily. The bathroom had very good bath sheets and towels and no... More

Stayed in the spacious and luxurious honeymoon suite .... absolutely fabulous and highly recommended! Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Had a wonderful meal in restaurant - no complaints whatsoever. Hotel itself is quirky very clean and comfortable in an ideal location.

Very cozy and welcoming place. Busy bar serving a great range of real ales; a good start to the short break! Our room was at the top of the building accessed via two staircases. It was small and well provisioned, short door (which caused severe pain on one occasion) and a very comfortable bed. Nothing was horizontal, which added to... More

Lovely old well preserved building with lots of character. Ideal location on river Avon and right in the heart of the town. Friendly staff and really good food. Our room overlooked the river, really quiet and peaceful. Lots of houseboats and colourful barges. Scenery is lovely.

We stayed at this beautiful old hotel just yards away from the river. We travelled to Tewkesbury for the Medieval Festival with the re-enactment of the final battle of the War's of the Roses (4 May 1471). We again stayed in the family room Number 14. Pam and her staff made us very welcome and they all remembered us from... More

Old old building in the centre of Tewksbury with creaky floors. The bedroom was clean (apart from on top of the bed canopy) and the tiny bathroom was ok once you managed to turn off the taps. Staff were very friendly in the hotel & bar. Nice outside space & good hotel parking. Food in the restaurant was VERY good,... More
