Soup -off, pâte- off, jackets -off! We only wanted a snack at lunch time and it wasn't a Sunday. The board outside said new menu available all day. Well sorry The Bell, I'm off too and won't be back. What else can I say? It was a huge pub and almost empty- I know why. Pubs are closing all over...

My five friends and I chose The Bell to go for a bite to eat and a natter. We ordered our food and drink at the bar. I was quite surprised to be handed the bottle of wine and glasses rather than them be brought to our table. The food was nice but no one came anywhere near us to...

It was an experience. Can't fault the hotel for character - great old English building in a lovely setting. Price was OK at face value, food was even quite good. On arrival, no-one at reception, pressed the buzzer and still not a soul. Pressed twice more, woman in uniform rushes past, opens the door to a staff only room (doesn't...

The reviews we read did not promise much and therefore we were not too surprised to find this hotel a disappointment. Clearly the accommodation was tired and in need of upgrading. Saying that the pricing was very competitive hence the title of the review. Some issues you can put down to lack of investment by the hotel group but some...

My friend and I just wanted to come into Tewkesbury for a walk round for a couple of hours. We went into The Bell Hotel, quite early in the morning. Visitors and hotel guests were having breakfast. We found some sofas assuming it was the bar lounge area and ordered latte's and tea. Very relaxed atmosphere. Staff were doing their...

Tewkesbury is amazing , so much history . The hotel was opposite the Abbey which was great. The rooms were basic , clean but furnishings need replacing carpets tatty throughout the annexe we stayed in and bathroom needs an overhaul . The Food was lovely but the first ever there was hardly any food on the menu and as one...

Recently had a two night stay, great for dog travellers as it's very dog friendly and lovely walks all around the Hotel, close to the Motorway so easy to get to. The down side is the rooms on the ground floor are in a very poor condition, the room we had was, very small and in a poor state the towel...

We booked a winter break deal, 2 nights for a very reasonable price, but feel that what we paid was what it was worth. We had to complain about our room as it had no shower facility, had a shower curtain and a shower holder but no actual shower! We were told they could move our room the next morning,...

The staff were welcoming and the accommodation, although not five star, was more than acceptable for the price we paid. Although we didn't eat here we did have before and after dinner drinks and the atmosphere was relaxing and pleasant. The only slight criticism was the breakfast was not the best we have had with staff seeming slightly disorganised.

I read the reviews so I wasn't expecting this to be great. Also we came on a winter deal. You get what you pay for! The reception area is ok and so is the bar. As we walked up the stairs, which are poorly decorated, walls and doors bashed, I began to dread our room. Our room was reasonably clean,...
