Because of a cancellation we were able to rent the cottage at short notice for the weekend. We were welcomed with fresh bread, fruit and (the direct route to my son's heart) a chocolate cake. Pam couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the beautiful garden with its ducks and goose and stunning local countryside. The cottage is...

We have just returned from a 5 day break in this absolutely lovely cottage with views over the garden and Beacon Fell. Such a warm and genuine welcome from Pam (thank you for the lovely home made goodies). We loved being entertained by the ducks and strolling around the interesting garden. Take advantage of the eggs for sale and you...

Just home from a wonderful weekend stay at Garden Cottage, with two old schoolfriends. I travelled by train and Mick, the owner, kindly gave a lift from the station to Garden Cottage, a rural idyll. What a beautiful garden, with Jemima the duck strolling around. Garden cottage is picturesque and inside the cottage, every need is considered. Warm, cosy, home from...

Thank you Sue and Jack for those really kind words. What a pleasure it was to meet you both, we feel like one of the family has left. I hope Jacks T shirt has come clean after helping me with the lamb. I could do with some help with lines just now, the stage has gone up. We look forward...

We wish to thank Mick and Pam for their help, advice and concern whilst we stayed at their very comfortable cottage during November 2013 and January 2014. We needed accommodation near to Preston in order to help our daughter who had become hospitalized with a serious condition. Thankfully, she is now almost fully recovered! Pam and Mick were complete "stars",...

Oh goodness me you are so kind, it was the least we could do for such lovely people, who became more like friends. Yes we did give the others a run for their money at the quiz, good job we didn't win though, you would have had to return next year to set the questions. Many thanks to you both...

The warmth of our welcome more than made up for the damp weather (well it was at the end of the 2nd wettest year on record). The accommodation was warm and comfortable. Given opportunity, will return and will certainly recommend.
