The hotel is well situated within 10 minutes of town centre. The Bed was very comfortable .However the hotel was being redecorated making everywhere dusty and smelling of paint. Well below the standards you would expect in a Best Western hotel.

Only stayed the one night here, but I can only echo the views of previous reviewers in that the Falstaff is old and tired. I couldn't park outside the front of the hotel and parked in the college car park opposite. I wish someone had said there was a car park at the rear too. The room was OK, warm... More

First I notice the carpet hasn't been cleaned and is covered in debris and dust... Walking in further I decide not to worry about it but then I spot the black bed frame is white on top from being covered from dust! On inspection of the bathroom it's by far the most filthy place I've come across ever and could... More

I read the negative reviews but kept an open mind. The hotel was labelled Accessible and we had booked an Accessible room, 33. The Disabled Parking was to the rear but the ramp from the raised car park was too narrow for my chair and was blocked by a post set in the ground. I hobbled down the several steps... More

The first room we were allocated was dark poky and really unacceptable so we good an upgrade which was excellent, much more space, large bed, excellent bathroom but more importantly somewhere to store our clothes since we were there for 3 nights. The bed was really comfortable and the room quiet. We had two evening meals in the restaurant which... More

On arrival there isn't even a sign over the door. It's a run down and looks awful from outside. When you step inside things do not improve its dated and shabby looking. As I went upstairs to the room there was a dirty cup on the floor under what I can only imagine is to collect water for a leak!... More

I've never written a review before but felt I had to about my stay here. I stayed here on business as I was attending a training course in the area. My first impressions of the place was its very much run down! When I checked in there was problems with my booking, apparently they hadn't received my booking even though... More

First impression of this place set the scene for my visit. Rear car park is dangerous, at the edge of the car park nearest the building there is an unprotected probably four foot sheer drop onto the path below. In the room I was trading on bits on the carpets which hadn't been hoovered. This morning breakfast started at 7.45am,... More

I was looking forward to a break, but it turned our very disappointing when we got to our room. I don't usually write reviews or complain, but both myself and my husband said we need to write an honest review. The room was small, cold and very dirty, that dirty you could write your name in the wall.....DUST everywhere, even... More
