On arriving at the hotel there had been a mix up (our end) with the booking and the staff were more than happy to help rectify and upgrade us to a modernised double. Spacious room with an inviting (sadly unused) spa bath. Some road noise but for a single night not a problem. Breakfast was good, staff fantastic and interesting...

Hotel is on a main route into Doncaster and is a grade 2 listed building. We and another couple had booked 2 standard rooms for 6 nights. we found the Standard rooms are very small except one. Cleanliness was below the requirement we would expect of a 3 star hotel-net curtain on window very dirty. Floor boards squeaked a lot and...

The room we had was very good, at the front of the hotel with a king size comfortable bed, a large bathroom with a large jacuzzi in it. The small bar area was good and they had no problem taking up a bottle of wine to the room. Easy to find and plenty of parking. Just over the road from...

Great hotel, good staff only one fault, not a good nights sleep, no double glazing in hotel bedrooms the hotel is right next to a busy roundabout unfortunately. So if your a heavy sleeper happy days if your a light sleeper where you waken at the slightest noise this hotels not for you.

I recently stayed at the Grand St Leger Hotel for 5 nights whilst working in the area. The hotel is very friendly, from the moment I walked in I felt welcome. The receptionist was extremely helpful and nothing seemed like too much trouble. Food was amazing! The steak was one of the best I have had in a long time....

In the room was a plan of the refurbishment that is taking place. It is much needed in the rooms. Comfortable but tired. My room must have been above where the staff took a break as with the window open it was interesting listening!! Downstairs the new Crab & Moo (not sure the best named) restaurant & bar was modern...

Good points: very nice breakfast in pleasant surroundings, very helpful and friendly staff. Bad points: extremely small double bed, very small compact room and bathroom, toilet too near the wall and one of my pet hates - cheap toilet paper!! Room was very hot during the night which, when added to the size of the bed, resulted in a very...

It's now the 'Crab & Moo', need I say more? It used to be a gently faded lovely Georgian hotel and the rooms are still OK. But downstairs the heart of the old hotel has been ripped out and replaced with an 'Old English Inn' style makeover. Grey everywhere with a bland, cold noisy restaurant and bar area. To complete...
