Lovely, charmingly appointed, and delightful staff. The ensuite room itself, as well as the breakfast room, were both quite lovely, and the breakfast choices were delicious and beautifully prepared. We would love to stay here again. Most highly recommend.

This was our second time staying at the Wool market & we loved it. The room (Hidcot) was very clean ,great views towards the church, lovely touches including homemade cakes fresh flowers & a substantial hot drinks tray. We eat downstairs in Michael's which never disappoints (5 Stars) & had a beautiful breakfast in our room on both days which had all the qualities of a top hotel including service presentation & local produce (the fruit bowl was amazing. Sharon was a Star & made sure our stay was memorable, I cannot rate her & the Woolmarket high enough. Richard & Christina

This is the second time we’ve stayed at Woolmarket House and most certainly not the last! We first stayed on our wedding night last year and decided to celebrate our first anniversary in the same way. We stayed in the Kiftsgate room, which is exceptionally comfortable. It’s a luxury room with a huge comfy bed and a fabulous freestanding bath as its centrepiece. We had our breakfast in our room both mornings which was beautifully presented and entirely delicious. The hotel is quiet and ideally located to explore Chipping Campden. All in all, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We’re already looking forward to our next stay! Thank you for making our first anniversary celebration all the more special.

A wonderful Bed & Breakfast in the centre of Chipping Campden. Rooms lovely (Hidcote & Sezincote) - very comfy beds, great tea/coffee making facilities, homemade cake, iron and ironing board, they have thought of everything, and very tastefully decorated. Delicious breakfast, and yummy fresh fruit. Thank you to Sharon for making sure everything runs smoothly and said delicious breakfast. Will definitely revisit, and would highly recommend.

What a great place to stay while you are in the Cotswold's. From the delicious breakfast to comfy bed, this is the place to stay. Sarah and Sharon were such gracious hosts. Located right in the hear of Chipping Campden. Michael's restaurant is just under the B and B, so the smells are amazing!

We had a lovely night here for a mini break in the Cotswolds. The room was comfortable and quiet and we appreciate d the extra touches like cake. Such a pretty view from our room. Loved the products in the bathroom and breakfast was generous and delicious. Check in was a little confusing, so we were thankful another guest pointed the way. Overall a lovely time and would recommend.

The interior was nicely furnished, and breakfast was lovely. But our room was right next to the outdoor dining of a restaurant, with diners chattering away for hours in the evening, and it’s right below the breakfast room, so in the morning there’s a couple hours of shuffling feet and sliding chairs. Sleep was impossible during these times.

Absolutely wonderful experience here. Beautiful building and super friendly staff. Situated right in the middle of this amazing stone village so a great base to explore the delights of the town. Excellent breakfasts which can be enjoyed either in your room or the breakfast area. Highly recommended!

This is a great place to be when you would rather feel like a nuisance than as a welcomed guest. We had booked a luggage transfer service to deliver our luggage ahead of our arrival. When we made it to the Woolmarket House, we found our luggage left outside the b&b - anyone caring enough about their guests would have taken it in. There was no one to check us in either. It felt all very impersonal. We actually didn’t see any member of staff until we were awoken an hour early than indicated that it wouldn’t be possible to have breakfast in the outside area. On that topic: it was apparently decided for us that we should have breakfast in our room. There was for whatever reason no possibility to have it in the communal area. It also ment we had to make coffee and tea ourselves in the room. Breakfast - which we had to order on arrival by leaving a filled out template on a table in the hallway- was not according to what we had filled in. Nothing you would expect for the cost of the accommodation. Leaving again, we inquired where we should leave our luggage as it was to picked up between 9 and 11. According to the member of staff, it would be in the way of other guests inside and she would have preferred us to leave it outside. We’re not sure what happened here. One thing is quite clear: this accommodation is not in the business for the values of hospitality, it serves mostly the goal of profit maximisation. This level of service would be ok at a (much) lower price point. As it is now, things were way below our expectations.

Response from Michael Alexiou, Owner at Woolmarket House

Thank you for choosing to stay with us and providing a review. We are truly sorry to hear that the transfer arrangements for your luggage did not go smoothly. If any guests are thinking of using a similar service please do let us know in advance so we can help facilitate this better. Our Snowshill room has it's own private terrace so any guests staying with us who choose to have their breakfast on the terrace would be served in this private area, again we are sorry for any confusion that may occurred during your stay with us and for any extras that we may have provided for your enjoyment at breakfast. We do value every individual guest who stays with us and their experience is very important to us. Thank you again for staying with us and we hope you enjoyed your onward travels.

We stayed for two nights and have to say it was one of our favourite stays we’ve had in the U.K. The rooms were beautiful and finished to a high quality. Breakfast in the morning was superb, lots of choice which you can personalise and the breakfast room was beautifully decorated. We stayed in the King Room the Batsford and whilst located at the front of the hotel on Chippjng Camden high street it was very quiet. We also ate at Michael’s the restaurant underneath the hotel. Such a wonderful restaurant, the outside area was beautiful and inside equally finished to a high standard. It’s safe to say we slept and ate very well! Lots of little touches which made our stay memorable.
