My partner and I have just had the most wonderful holiday in the Cotswold House Hotel. We booked a junior suite with balcony overlooking the hotels outstanding gardens. Room was superbly equipped and serviced each day to very a high standard. The cuisine at this hotel and its sister hotel opposite (Noel Arms) is exquisite, both in quality and presentation. The service provided by the staff was excellent at all time. They were very friendly, accommodating and extremely thoughtful - we were made to feel very special! The Spa was luxurious with friendly welcoming staff. A great asset to the hotel! All in all this hotel is highly recommended and the staff have made it very difficult for us not to return! A big big thank you to all concerned and a special thank you to Veronica, Bart, Nicki and Sonia!…
My husband and I stayed here in June to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. It is a beautiful hotel in a lovely location. The hotel staff were so friendly and made us feel very special, leaving us with a nice card wishing us a happy anniversary on arrival and also a nice little anniversary plate with chocolates and a nice message on. We booked the hot tub suite as it was a special treat and it was fantastic, our own little garden with sunbeds to make the most of the lovely weather, and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The food was amazing and had the table in the window so had a nice view out. Breakfast was really good and served to our table (ordered what we wanted the night before). We also had an afternoon tea before we left the following day, which again was absolutely beautiful but we couldn't manage it all so they kindly gave us a box to take home the rest of the cakes for our kids. Can highly recommend and would definitely stay again, a really lovely hotel.…
The stay In the hotel was an unforgettable experience. We stayed In this hotel before and on both occasions it was perfect. The staff was most helpful and polite. The receptionist welcomed us warmly and organised for our luggage to be taken to our room. The room was very comfortable with a glass of prosecco on arrival. The meal In the restaurant was of the highest quality and the service also 5*. The patisserie chef made an unusual cake. What a skilful man. Big thank to Craig, the Manager for making our stay so perfect. We will definitely come and stay again.
We held our wedding at Cotswold House in April 2022 and the whole experience from start to finish was brilliant. The staff are what make it so special – Mandy, Bart, Jamie and all of the team are incredible – they make you feel like part of the family from the get go! We came across the venue by accident (walked past when another wedding was taking place), and decided to pop back the next day for a viewing. Jamie took the time to show us round and we were sold straight away. We loved all the different spaces you can choose from, which means you have all the ingredients to create the perfect day. We chose to hold our ceremony in the Fig, reception drinks in the Bistro and then our wedding breakfast and tea ceremony in the Montrose, with garden games and mini golf in the garden. Each space suited each element perfectly, and they are all very different - which somehow makes it feel like the perfect mix of an intimate venue and a bigger space all at the same time. Mandy was an absolute superstar, dealing with our endless (and often stupid!) questions in the lead up to the wedding very professionally, and making the day itself run like clockwork – we would have been lost without her. The venue looked incredible and the food was superb, with all the guests raving about it. But above all, it was the hospitality that we appreciated the most – everyone was made to feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Even when we popped back the next day for a drink in the bar, Bart spoilt us. We had an amazing day and created some wonderful memories – all thanks to the team at Cotswold House. Thank you.…
We stayed here 10-12th June. Was perfect, would highly recommend staying. The room was beautiful, we had a gorgeous room looking over the back gardens, bathroom big enough to have a party, large very comfortable bed and a lounge area, we know which room we’ll request when we return! Nothing was too much for the staff, the food and service was excellent, the only issue was the wait for breakfast, they do advise that at certain times it’s busy and may be a wait, we waited for 45 minutes for our cooked breakfasts, we didn’t mind, we weren’t in any hurry, some people may find this an issue. The grounds at the back of the hotel are just what you need to feel rested and relaxed, the only thing you heard was the birds and distant sound of the cows and sheep. Would highly recommend a visit. The little town was so lovely to walk around after dinner.…
My husband and I went for Afternoon Tea at the Cotswold House Hotel and were both very impressed by both the friendly and professional staff serving us and the wonderful array of sandwiches and desserts we were presented with. Great selection of loose leaf tea too. All served in a beautiful room with lovely tinkly piano music being played in the background. We can honestly say that it was one of the best Afternoon Tea experiences we have ever had - and we have had a fair few to say the least. Thank you Cotswold House Hotel and please keep up the great customer service 🙂
We've stayed at this hotel before, and it was a nice experience, so we booked it again for 2 nights. The booking was made well in advance, and we booked an extra bed for our 3 year old son. There was a stage set up literally outside our bedroom window, and live music which went on until after midnight, making sleep impossible. They must have known this was going to happen, but they gave us 24 hours notice, far too late to book anywhere else. I appreciate they can't control what happens in the street, but to allow us to go ahead with the booking, for a family with a small child, when sleep was going to be impossible until after midnight was unforgivable. I started using this hotel mainly because it had an electric vehicle charger. However, 2 of the 3 chargers were out of service, and the car park is too small for all the guests cars when the hotel is full, so I couldn't even park in the car park itself for some of the time. The showers run hot and cold at random. I think service everywhere has become a bit hit and miss since Brexit/Covid, and this hotel is certainly no exception. Fortunately EV chargers are becoming more common now, so I have more choice of hotel. I won't be staying at this one again.…
What a fantastic couple of days we had. Beautiful setting and gardens, lots going on weddings every day, wonderful food for breakfast and dinner and fantastic staff doing a great job in a really splendid way. Couldn’t fault any part of our stay both in Cotswolds House and Chipping Camden. Thank You!!
Chipping Campden is worth a visit but not in their old hotels Those people with even slight walking problems will find this hotel impossible to enjoy. Difficulties were--- The ground floor room was black with several steep steps to negotiate. The car park and Fitness Centre were 200 yds up a steep garden path. The hotel's main entrance was stepped. Unable to park outside the hotel. During our introduction we gathered that there was no lounge or dining room available-- we were offered our expensive meal?? in a dreadful bar. We can not comment on service or food as we canceled following the Managers involvement.
Lovely to come back again in a perfect junior suite room. Lovely break and such friendly helpful staff. So many, most of the names escape me. from reception who dashed off to buy me a paper to Will so nice and kind who we loved to chat up and Bart in the bar/restaurant. NOTHING was too much trouble . Thanks Andrew and Wendy
