I stay here regularly and can honestly say that it is a wonderful grand old hotel with a history and character that you don't find in more modern hotels. Having said that the refurbished spa and gym area is great. The breakfast at the Midland is the best out of all the other Manchester hotels I stay at. Would definitely...

Bedroom was spotlessly clean and very comfortable; rather cold on arrival but a simple request for a heater was immediately dealt with and within a short time the room had reached a comfortable temperature; have to say that I feel the cold .... my husband said the room was fine!

The curtains did not pull together fully. The mattress was not very good, it felt old as if the springs were worn. I tried to have...

Brilliant location, staff excellent, room lovely, bit expensive but you need a treat once in a while. I would recommend it to anybody. Bar was good, bit noisy, nice range of drinks, warm, friendly. Concerge service very good, piano in other bar, looked really festive.

My wife and I stayed on the sixth floor in December 2016 and it was even better than we expected. We have had drinks and afternoon tea there before, but this was our first stay and we cannot wait to return. The room was superb and the staff are so professional, they cannot do enough for you. The spa facilities...

I must have mentioned during the booking that it was her birthday, because from check in they upgraded us, in the room we were in had a plate with a chocolate birthday message, and the following day they gave her champagne for breakfast and a happy birthday card....
