I booked this hotel at short notice, and in truth when I read some of the previous reviews I felt that I had perhaps made a mistake. However, while different people have diverse experiences I think that some of the reviews have been unfair to this hotel. This is a large hotel in a Victorin building, so for those looking...

Booked delux room and upgraded to four poster room for £10. Really great room. Spotless clean. Loved the place. Would really recommend. Can get anywhere in town within 15 min walk. Breakfast was normal hotel standard. Evening meal was really good value for money. Deffo stay again.

I booked this hotel last minute as I knew I'd have to leave Manchester very early the next day and wanted somewhere close to the station. At £44 for the night on Booking.com I thought 'what's there to lose?' The inside is nice - a little dated, but very comfy. The staff were nice - the set up is great....

I booked this hotel last minute and at £35 for a night away in central Manchester, this place is amazing. Look, at £35 I didn't expect perfection. There were a few flaws in the room, but I kept on reminding myself that this has cost so little. People are moaning about the decor, the grand stairway is amazing and at...

Room was a little dated but overall a nice stay. Only problem was after I'd been in the shower the mirror in the room had steamed up to reveal "Basic room, no iron, BASTARDS" - mirror clearly hasn't been cleaned prior to us arriving. Other than that it was ok!

Really cheap last minute booking. I wasn't expecting much and that's exactly what I got. Small room but as we didn't intend to spend much time there we weren't really bothered. Could really do with updating though and a good clean-some very strange looking stains on the walls. The staff were friendly enough but trying to get someone to answer...
