Nice place, good location, friendly staff, comfortable bed, tuck box is nice touch and good breakfast in bed! Will be back and hope to spend more time using facilities. Only one lift which takes a while is the only downside.

I have stayed at this hotel before when it was the palace and recently stayed here after the refurb with two friends. We booked a triple room and were surprised to get a nice big room with 2 double beds. The redecoration is very tasteful and the price very reasonable for the Friday night that we stayed. the room had...

Stayed at this hotel recently whilst on a conference in Manchester. Everything about this hotel is superb, from the elemis toiletries to the fresh milk provided in the fridge for your tea and coffee, as well as still and sparkling water, to the excellent breakfast with good quality ingredients with a nice variety of options for breakfast. The service was...

The room was nicely presented and the bed very comfortable with two different pillows to choose from. The reading light was also a nice touch. The shower worked well, and the towels and toiletries and towels were nice. We particularly liked the tuck box with crisps and kit kats. The only small downside was parking, always tricky for a city...

This hotel is a lovely hotel, friendly staff, good bar, nice place to relax. It is close to Oxford train station and within walking distance of many restaurants, Piccadilly train station and shopping centre.

Was in Manchester to see Ed Sheeran. Had booked another hotel but had to change as the noise level was awful so stumbled on the Principal Hotel Reception staff was very welcoming and very accommodating. We upgrade as there was an offer on. While our room was being prepared we went and had a drink in the bar. Again service...

From the moment we entered into the reception area we knew it was something special. Impromptu overnight stay and wow this hotel made the experience worth the travel. Hotel was immaculate. Staff were very friendly, helpful and most welcoming. We'll definitely be returning and I don't think there is anywhere else that I would rather stay!

Back in Manchester! This time to see Zlatan play. We stayed in this hotel for one night. The hotel was great and the building was impressive with a lot of history. Fantastic check in, the receptionist made the check in easy and quick. The room was nice with a lot of space and matching interior. A bit disappointing that a...

We have found our new hotel for when we visit Manchester. Only fault is it doesn't have its own car park and a little awkward getting luggage out of the car. Room was great and excellent touches like fruit bowl, filter coffee in the room and fresh milk in the fridge. Well worth it. Breakfast was quality too.

We went to the Principal on Saturday 22nd April, fantastic reception area, quick check-in. We had a suite which was large and had everything needed. Very historic building and good bar areas. We were greeted in the room with Champagne, chocolates and fruit which was really nice (pictures attached). Breakfast fantastic, really nice stay, will definitely return.
