Cons: This is a basic hotel in need of some refurbishment. Rooms are quite small. Arrived back from a concert at 23:00 hours to find the bar closed. Pros: Clean room with comfortable bed. Wi fi was free and worked well. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was fine. Very central location within walking distance of bars, restaurants, shops and public...

I visited this hotel on a saturday night, after booking well in advance as i was attending a gig in the city. My first impressions of the hotel werent to bad as the check in staff seemed pleasant enough and i had no problems getting a key for the room. However when i entered the lift which looked, sounded and smelled...

We stayed at The Gardens Hotel Piccadilly Manchester for 2 nights in July 2015. Staff very pleasant and down to earth. Breakfast was beautiful.Excellent location for shopping and nightlife and restaurants in abundance. Stayed here with my husband in Room 601, which is like home from home. Very modern bathroom and situated in the loft. We could see out of...

Went for a night to save back and forth travelling. Great location and functional. Don't expect ANY frills but it is cheap and cheerful. Tiny rooms and space shuttle lift! Does what it says on the tin, but you wouldn't want a week there! Arrive as late as you can, sleep, and get out!!

Excellent location central Manchester and within walking distance of everywhere. Tired building with little faults here and there, but pleasant staff to sort what they could out. Not good sleeping as pub out back and Sunday morning rubbish/glass collection extremely noisy and very often. Room small but does the job if not staying in room for long

When I arrived in Manchester by train, I was surprised how close the Gardens Hotel was to the railway station. Yet I had some trouble with finding it, as the hotel was hidden. It was kind of like the surrounding hotels were absorbing it. Once I got into the hotel, I was saluted by friendly personnel. They brought me my...

This hotel shouldn't have been so difficult to find but both Google maps and Mapquest sent me in circles! it's actually very conveniently located to the main rail station of Manchester which was great for going back as I knew where to go then LOL. Don't map it out, just get out of the station and go right, stay on...

Location is great I have stayed here previously and loved it. There's a late night sandwich shop next door which I visit every time. This time I really kick myself for not paying an extra 10quid for a room with a window! It was so hot. There was a fan in the room but it was blowing hot air around....
