Got a private en suite room and it was great. I think the bad reviews all seem to be from people who have stayed in the dorm rooms. Private room is great. Shower is powerful and hot. It's basic but brill. What do you expect for such a low price? Staff were lovely and friendly too. Would definitely return!

If you are looking for a luxurious place to stay dont stay here, it isnt what the place is about. if you are looking for a cheap bed to go out on the ale this is a good place, its close to everything and the beds were fairly comfortable. we would stay here again as we payed peanuts to stay...

The location is great-10 minutes walk to the transportation hub, including train station and the tube station. The building looks grand. There is a common room and reception on the ground. The kitchen with dining room at the basement is small and not much amenities. The microwave is not working. The light bulb is out in the windowless toilet cubicle....

The building from outside and the reception were the only good things about the place! Walking down from the reception, got a feeling I had made a mistake. The room had no ventilation resulting in a gross smell in the room throughout the time we were there, bunk beds were creaky and uncomfortable - the slightest movement made the loudest...

You walk in this place and think "looks alright" and that is the highlight! I didn't expect it to be great as it's cheap but the girl on reception instantly made us feel like we had done something wrong for arriving. After huffing and puffing they finally checked us in, we walked through the double doors into complete darkness and...

I do not know how anyone could give this place a good review! The lobby & front desk looked clean but that's where anything good ended. A towel cost 8 pounds! You are supposed to get 5 pounds back when you return it, but of course there is no one working in the morning when you leave! There were 4...

I stayed here this weekend for one night and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the reception was, lovely and modern. The rooms were another story, we walked through the doors to take us to the corridor to our room and it was so dark we had to use the flashlights on our phones to make sure we didn't...

So you want to go out in Manchester with a group of friends and will only be spending time in accommodation to sleep for £23.50 this is an absolute bargain, the key card deposit is a £5 and there's a cafe next door that does cooked breakfast with tea and coffee for £4, if you take advantage of happy hour...

Booked en suite double room for 2 nights. Room was small but clean and had everything we needed, didn't expect luxuries in a hostel! Staff were all really helpful for us. Needed a drink in the morning so went to the vending machine at reception which swallowed my money, but the chap at reception opened the machine for me and...

I stayed here last night as I was supposed to be staying with a colleague at his house but he went 'missing'. The photos looked good on late rooms but the must've been some kind of camera trickery or they used tiny beds in the photos to make the rooms look spacious. The room I was in had 12 bunk...
